Dopamine receptors are your body’s built-in motivation system. You do something good — nice job, here’s a dopamine boost. They also fire when you experience things you enjoy.

But constant overstimulation makes these receptors less sensitive over time. As a result, you need more and more to feel satisfied — which is exactly how dependencies form.

Here’s what you should limit:
- Video games;
- Junk food: sweets, chips, pizza, and any combo of carbs and fats;
- Thrill-seeking;
- Porn;
- Psychoactive substances: alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, and drugs.

Try practicing a “dopamine detox” — go without these stimuli for several hours at the end of the day, or even dedicate full days to restraint.

I believe everything in life begins with a thought. No matter the challenge, our emotions are simply outer reflections of what’s happening inside our minds.

Even self-hatred is nothing more than hatred toward a particular thought about yourself.

For example, if you think, “I’m a bad person,” that thought sparks the feeling of hatred that weighs you down. Without that thought, the feeling wouldn’t exist at all.

Thoughts can be changed. Consciously choose a new one—something like, “I’m wonderful!”

Change the thought, and the emotion will shift too. Every thought we have shapes our future. So choose to think of yourself in a positive light.

Everything I look for in a man boils down to one thing — unwavering confidence in the future. Knowing you're loved and desired. Respect, without which no relationship can stand, and trust, never taken for granted. When you're with someone worthy, you feel inspired to become worthy yourself. A woman is a reflection of the man beside her; where he leads, she follows. Love that speaks not in words, but in countless bold, crazy acts.
