Self-autonomy begins with self-confidence, which is an offshoot of self-conviction.

A confident person governs himself because his moral compass is internalized, and his self-esteem is completely self-determined.

Self-confidence immunizes you against the poisonous opinions of people.

Your confidence is a reflection of how you feel. If you think yourself confident, but feel insecure, they’ll just cancel out.

Quite unfortunate that society taught us to tie our confidence to how much we have or have achieved.

It is your moral duty to detach your self-worth from your possessions, external validation & societal approval.

External must-haves should only serve as a boost, the real battle is fought within - against the insecurities of your own mind.

The liberating truth is - if there’s no internal critic, the external judgement becomes harmless. It’s not what people think of you that bothers you, but the part of you that subconsciously thinks it’s true.

Confidence, like happiness, can be improved like a skill.

1) Dress better; It’s not about following trends. It’s about expressing yourself through your dress sense. Wear what makes you “feel” good.

2) Groom better; Take care of your body - Get in shape. Get a clean cut. Smell nice. As your outlook improves, your inlook will too.

3) Keep the promises you make to yourself;
Better not to make a commitment, than to not keep it. This is about integrity!
If you say you’ll do something, do it (don’t procrastinate). If you say you’ll stop doing something, stop it (don’t relapse).

4) Understand that no one is above or below you; We may all lead different lives with different power scalings, but at the core we’re all the same - clueless piles of dust on a blue dot revolving in empty space.

5) Watch how you speak about yourself, to yourself and others; Your subconscious mind is an ardent eavesdropper, she’s always listening to everything you say (mentally or verbally). Fuck your self-depreciating jokes man - the humor is tasteless & pointless...

You cannot be motivated if you do not have a source for that. Period.

______

Ask yourself this: what do you want?

What is that goal that you are holding in your heart which is so damn important to you that you will NEVER give up?!

You're not overwhelmed, you're being lazy and unorganized.

• Wake up earlier
• Create a routine
• Get an agenda book
• Set boundaries (say no)
• Stick to your schedule
• Write down and adhere to your deadlines.

It's You vs You.

If you fail in life.

Don't cry about it.

Focus on WHAT NEXT.

Failures are an inevitable part of life.

You win someday and you lose someday.

Important is to have a warrior mindset.

If you are man you are not allowed to cry.

If times get real hard.

Go and talk to your brothers.

You are not allowed to cry in front of people who depend on you.

Be their strength, Be a man.

If you are addicted to a bad habit, get addicted to a good one and the old habit will drop naturally.

The quality of our thoughts determines the quality of our lives.

That’s how important it is to encourage a disciplined mindset towards monitoring our thoughts and making sure we’re planting roses in our gardens of life, rather than toxins.
👏145👍5
Credit your successes to god and your failures to yourself. Keeps you in the game longer, otherwise you get a swollen head and rest on your laurels.
👏154👍4
Real masters acquire their proficiency not by merely thinking but by repeated failures.

If you're lonely, go out to a social place. If you're broke, start an online business. If you're unhappy, work to build something. This is not the same as "if you're broke, buy a house", because this is stuff you can actually do.

The easiest way to lose half of your friends?

Work on yourself for 6 months.

Don't allow yourself to fall in the repetitive cycles of postponing something.

You will slide deeper and deeper.

If you don't want to work, do the bare minimum you can to maintain the habit of doing some work everyday.

A little work is better than no work.

9 HARDCORE LIFE LESSONS 🥷

(Musings for the weekend)

1) Govern yourself

“He who cannot obey himself will be commanded.”

Most people need an external force to motivate them into action, or to keep them in check morally.

Freedom is the will to be responsible to oneself.
It’s imperative that a man learns to be his own leader, to act in accordance with his own beliefs, and to use his own values as a moral compass. Such a man becomes elevated from a yes-man to a Superman.

2) Follow your own path

“You have your way, and I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it doesn’t exist!”

Never let anyone interfere with your life, and you should never interfere with anyone’s life. No one has the license to dictate your life’s trajectory.

3) Seek wisdom over knowledge

“There’s a lot I don’t want to know. Wisdom sets limits, even to knowledge”

Wisdom makes you stoic, but stoicism won’t make you wise. Overconsumption is harmful, whether it’s food or knowledge. Knowing that you know next to nothing is the beginning of wisdom.
Self-introspection through writing or meditation is more beneficial than accumulating information.
The stronger your awareness, the more receptive you become to life’s deepest mysteries. These are called spiritual downloads. Become a person of presence, and you'll naturally be guided by divine intuition & intelligence.

4) Speak your truth

“A truths that are kept silent become poisonous”

Your worldview is as unique as your fingerprints. Be confident enough to share your perspectives honestly, fearlessly & conscientiously. Never smolder your truth to make anyone comfortable. Be authentic in everything you say & do.

5) Break free from herd mentality

“Meaning and morality of one’s life must come from within oneself. Healthy, strong individuals seek self-expansion by experimenting and living dangerously.”

To find yourself, you need to think for yourself. Intelligent & creative people don't follow society’s rules blindly. If you find yourself thinking like the majority, you're merely imitating.
Seek your own truths.

6) Spend time in solitude:

“I go into solitude so as not to drink out of everybody’s cistern. When I am among the many, it feels as if they want to rob me of my soul”
There’s no wisdom without self-awareness, no self-awareness without contemplation, no contemplation without solitude.

A sound mind is forged from silence, in the kiln of solitude.

7) Embrace failure

“You must be ready to burn yourself in your own flame. How could you rise anew if you have not first become ashes?”

For the weak, failure is fatal. For the wise, failure is feedback. A fear of failure means you are incapable of handling success, and life doesn’t reward the incompetent.

8) Be a minimalist

Learn to speak less, or increase the value per word spoken.

But minimalism is also applicable in every facet of life:
You don’t need to do everything, focus on the most essential.
You don’t need 1000 friends, get 10 loyal ones.

9) Amor Fati

This is one of my favorite quote from Neitzsche

“My formula for greatness in a human being is amor fati: that one wants nothing to be different, not forward, not backward, not in all eternity. Not merely bear what is necessary, still less conceal it… but love it.”
Your spiritual maturity is shown by you face & bear misfortunes. Train your spirit not to be distressed by every minor setback. Be optimistic for the best, yet prepared for the worst - for it's hard for a thief to loot a rich man's house who is well prepared in advance.
