The difference between the ones who achieve their goals and the ones who donโ€™t is persistence.

The only thing that will stop you is yourselfโ€”you need to pursue your goals relentlessly.

Fear is the best way to grow. Whenever you set a goal that scares you a little, you are setting yourself up for success.

Other people's happiness doesnโ€™t keep you from being happy!

Other people's success doesnโ€™t keep you from being successful!

All you have to do is be willing to embrace the risk and pay the price to get there.

If you will fail, you will pay for it.

You future is in your hands.

"He is disciplined enough to choose what he wants MOST over what he wants NOW."

10 Ways to Overcome Self-Doubt Once and for All

Self-doubt can be a troubling and persuasive voice that holds you back from seizing your opportunities.

It makes getting started or finishing things harder than they need to be.

So how can you get around that, how can you overcome those times of self-doubt so that you can move forward once again?

Today, Iโ€™ll explore 10 tips and habits that have helped me to decrease that destructive inner voice.

1. Become Mindful of Your Thoughts

Watch your thoughts and behaviors from the place of a friendly observer.

Be curious and open-minded about what goes on inside your mind.

When negative thoughts begin to creep in, question how accurate or helpful they are.

2. Identify Your Values

Take a moment to assess your values and what matters most to you.

When you'll recognize these values and what matters to you, the fear of criticism from others will fall by the wayside.

3. Set short-term goals.

It's easy to let doubt creep in when your big goals arenโ€™t immediately realized.

By achieving smaller goals along the way, you can bask in frequent wins.

4. Stop worrying about what others think

Itโ€™s natural to want others to like and respect us, but worrying too much could injure your mental health.

If you want to conquer the fear of other peopleโ€™s opinions, youโ€™ll need to cultivate more self-awareness.

5. Think back to your past achievements

Self-reflection is a fantastic tool, it reminds us that weโ€™re capable of what we want to achieve.

When the uncertainty hits, instead of dwelling on negatives, reflect on what went right and recent achievements.

6. Surround yourself with the right people.

Keep the people who support you close and seek out their feedback on a regular basis.

Distance yourself from individuals who are always pessimistic toward you, and your future prospects.

7. Face your fears.

Don't let fear or self-doubt dictate how you lead your personal life.

Check the worst-case scenarios as well as the risk-reward ratio and face the things that scare you head-on.

8. Try to Not Compare Yourself to Others

There will always be someone who appears to be doing better, getting further, or having more.

Everyoneโ€™s journey and ideas of success are different.

Do not benchmark yourself against othersโ€™ accomplishments and possessions.

9. Keep a Journal

Journaling is always a therapeutic exercise to practice.

Make an effort to record what youโ€™re thankful for and what youโ€™re proud of doing each day.

Writing down your thoughts of self-doubt on paper might be a good release.

10. Make quick decisions!

Itโ€™s very easy to get stuck in trying to make decisions

This back-and-forth process of questioning if you should go with A or B, can exacerbate self-doubt

What's the cure for this?

Just make a decision!

And then correct your course as you go along.

Your relationship with yourself plays a huge role in your relationships with others.

It's not that if you hate yourself you'll hate everyone else and vice versa.

Not that if you love yourself you'll love everyone else either.

The truth is, the higher your self-awareness and Self-acceptance, the less you act and the more natural you behave.

This level of knowledge of yourself gets you appeasement as you know your reactions, your limits and have no issue expressing your boundaries.

This alone makes you more socially fluent.

I cannot stress this enough: your social skills only start improving when you fix your self-esteem.

If you are to fix your self-esteem, answer is in one word:

Self-awareness.

Only weak men play the blame game.

Don't dishonor yourself.

No one can live beyond the limits of their beliefs.

Our actions reflect what we believe.

We become what we believe.

No degrees, no training, no money, no people โ€ฆ can substitute your belief system.

So, stop thinking โ€œI can't do this.โ€ Stop making excuses.

Change your belief system.

The moment you allow someone disrespect you is the moment they realize they can bend your boundaries.

If you will let them stay in your life, their exploitation will increase overtime.

Punish the bad behaviour the very first time it happened.

Protect your boundaries.

And if you are self sufficient

RETALIATE.

MASTERING PATIENCE

Have you ever given up on your workout because you didnโ€™t see tangible results after a few days?

Why does everyone who has achieved success in any endeavor (worldly or otherworldly) talk about the importance of patience?

Itโ€™s because it is one of the most prominent weaknesses of the human mind. Your mind cannot handle uncertainty or suspense. Your mind craves assurance, signs, proofs - thatโ€™s why itโ€™s susceptible to consoling quotes like;

โ€œEverything happens for a reasonโ€
โ€œTrust the process, itโ€™s all going to work outโ€

These words help alleviate your anxieties to a certain degree, but deep down the problem persists.

In every adventure you choose to embark on, always take the first step with a long term mindset.

Ask yourself;

โ€œIs this something Iโ€™d do for the next decade even if I get nothing from it?โ€

Impatience is a lack of trust and a sign of a weak resolve. Itโ€™ll stir up doubts in your heart. You will become complacent and eventually give up before your results start to compound.

So this is how you can hone your patience:

1 - Donโ€™t keep count of how hard or how long youโ€™ve been working, just keep working & getting better.

2 - Donโ€™t ask โ€œwhen will it be done. Affirm - It is already done! Time just needs to catch up

3 - Understand that it takes an indeterminate amount of time for great things to manifest.

Lao Tzu says - โ€œNature never hurries, yet everything gets doneโ€

Quick schemes & shortcuts donโ€™t last my frens. The best things in life come to those who work with urgency & wait with certainty.
