Do you seek entertainment because youβre bored, or are you bored because youβre addicted to screen entertainment?
The quality of your mind can be measured by how much entertainment (visual or auditory) you need to get through the day.
If you want to test how grounded you are, try and sit still for 15 minutes without doing anything. Just observe the restlessness of your mind and how it urges you to indulge in some activity(useful or not). Social media is a pressure release valve for most humans, they use it to distract themselves from their emotions. The problem is these emotions only get buried inside, making you very volatile.
Most of the time youβre just trying to pass time or to escape from yourself. Everything is being weaponized to keep you as addicted as possible so they can profit off you. These apps are vampires that feed on your most precious jewels (your time, energy and attention).
Two ways to properly safeguard your jewels;
1 - Meaningful work (learning, earning & connecting)
2 - Shadow work (observing, contemplating & relaxing).
βAll chases, whether flow, drugs, beauty, thrills, orgasm, or devotion, are attempts to escape from the mind. Meditation is the only direct path.β
But only a handful possess the courage sit with themselves in sober reflection. So even if you must indulge, donβt constantly fall for the ones that take too much from you without giving you anything in return.
Low grade distractions busy your mind - gambling, sports fanaticism, turnt music, mindless scrolling...
High grade distractions reduce your mental noise - reading, journaling, walking in nature, exercising...
For a quieter headspace, incoperate more of the latter into your daily routine. Nature is solemnly entertaining to those who are attuned to her.
This isnβt an all-or-nothing dictate - Iβm not preaching abstinence, but non-dependence. Use things, donβt be used by things...

VISUALISATION AND HOW TO USE IT TO CREATE YOUR DREAM LIFE
Vision or imagination is the ability to visualise conditions and things days, months, or years into the future; given the eyes of the mind there is not limit to your capabilities.
From the beginning of time, nothing has ever existed in the physical realm without first being envisioned in the realm of the mind.
Everything you see around you was brought into the physical realm by concentration of will/focus on a visualised image.
The law of visualisation calls into being in the outer material world everything that is real in the inner world. Imagination pictures the things you desire.
Make your mental image clear enough, picture it vividly in every detail. BELIEVE IN IT, and the force that takes the impression of your mind speedily brings it into everyday reality, through paths unseen to us but to us nonetheless.
There is nothing you rightfully desire that cannot be brought into being through visualisation. This is your power as a human, to use your mind to tap in to the global consciousness, God, in order to Live a life of abundance and health.
Suppose there is a job position you desire: see yourself as you are now, sitting in the general managerβs chair. See your name on the door. See yourself handling the affairs of the job as you would tackle them. Consider that picture EVERY DAY AND NIGHT.
Get the crystal clear image impressed on your subconscious, and the Magic behind your mind will take it away and find
Most people donβt see success in their lives because they are using the power of visualisation in the wrong way. If you picture sickness, fear, failure, lack, terrible things, even in a joking way then your powerful subconscious will bring these into your life. The successful and conscious man has no time to dedicate to such thoughts because he knows that it is power wasted.
Keynotes of successful Visualisation:
β See things as you would have them be instead of how they are
β Close your eyes and make clear mental pictures
β Make them act and look as they would in real life
β Day dream, but with a purpose.
Concentrate on one idea to the exclusion of all others, and continue to concentrate on that idea until it has been accomplished.
