# History: Declared by the 𝗨𝗡 𝗶𝗻 𝟭𝟵𝟵𝟵, with the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟬.

Theme for 2024: ‘𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀: 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.’

𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆, also known as Yuva Diwas or Rashtriya Yuva Divas, is celebrated on 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭𝟮 every year to mark the 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘄𝗮𝗺𝗶 𝗩𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮.

🇮🇳 Tracing the evolution of the Indian National Flag: A chronicle of India's journey towards self-determination

♦️ It all began in 1906 during the Swadeshi and Boycott movement, when a flag was first hoisted in Calcutta

♦️ The final transformation came in 1931, when the flag's colors were finalized: Saffron was for courage, white for peace, and green for fertility and growth

♦️ The Dharma Chakra replaced the spinning wheel, symbolizing the eternal wheel of law and progress. This flag, formally adopted by the Constituent Assembly on July 22, 1947, became the Tiranga

India's First Flag 🇮🇳

♦️ The 12 feet long 8 feet wide national treasure in Fort St. George Museum, Chennai is one of the first flag that was hoisted on August 15, 1947 at 5.30 A.M in Fort St. George

♦️ The flag is the testament of the entire struggle that Indians went through to achieve freedom

♦️ It is made up of pure silk and measures about 3.50m length and 2.40m wide

🔹The 10th edition of India-Sri Lanka joint military exercises Mitra Shakti is being organized at Maduru Oya, Sri Lanka.

🔹This exercise will focus specifically on military operations in a semi-urban environment.
