እውነተኛ ታሪክ
እ.ኤ.አ በ2017 ዓለማችን ላይ ታይቶ የማይታወቅ እጅግ አስፈሪ የሳይበር ጥቃት ተከሰተ።

WannaCry የተባለ አደገኛ የኮምፒውተር ቫይረስ በሰከንዶች ውስጥ የዓለምን ትላልቅ ተቋማት ማሽመድመድ ጀመረ። የእንግሊዝ ሆስፒታሎች፣ የባቡር መስመሮች፣ ታዋቂ ባንኮች እና የመንግስት መስሪያ ቤቶች ኮምፒውተሮች በሙሉ በአንድ ጊዜ ተቆለፉ!

ቫይረሱ እያንዳንዱን መረጃ ለመልቀቅ በቢትኮይን (Bitcoin) ከፍተኛ የገንዘብ ክፍያ ይጠይቅ ነበር። የሰዎች ህይወት አደጋ ላይ ወደቀ፣ ዓለምም በታላቅ ድንጋጤ ተዋጠች።

የዓለም ታላላቅ የደህንነት ተቋማት (እንደ FBI) እና ዝነኛ የሳይበር ባለሙያዎች መፍትሄ አጥተው በግራ መጋባት ውስጥ እያሉ... አንድ ማንም የማያውቀው የ22 ዓመት ወጣት ግን ታሪክ ለመስራት ከቤቱ አልጋ ላይ ሆኖ ይሰራ ነበር

ከትናንሽ ክፍል የተነሳው ጀግና

ይህ ወጣት ማርከስ ኸችንስ (Marcus Hutchins) ይባላል። በወቅቱ ምንም አይነት የዩኒቨርሲቲ ዲግሪ አልነበረውም፤ ነገር ግን በራሱ ጥረት የሳይበር ደህንነትን (Cybersecurity) ያጠና እና ማልዌሮችን የመመርመር ከፍተኛ ፍላጎት ያለው ልጅ ነበር።

ማርከስ ሌሊቱን ሙሉ ሳይተኛ የቫይረሱን ሚስጥራዊ ኮድ (Code) ሲመረምር አደረ። በመጨረሻም በኮዱ ውስጥ አንድ በጣም አስገራሚ ስህተት ወይም ሚስጥራዊ በር አገኘ!

ቫይረሱ ወደ አዲስ ኮምፒውተር ከመግባቱ በፊት አንድ ያልተመዘገበ የዌብሳይት ሊንክ (Domain) ፈልጎ ለማግኘት ይሞክራል። ያ ዌብሳይት የማይሰራ ከሆነ ጥቃቱን ይቀጥላል፣ ዌብሳይቱ የሚሰራ ከሆነ ግን ጥቃቱን ያቆማል። ይሄ በሳይበር አለም Kill Switch (ጥቃቱን ማቆሚያ ቁልፍ) ይባላል።

ታሪካዊው ውሳኔ

ማርከስ ምንም አላመነታም። ወዲያውኑ የራሱን ኪስ አውጥቶ $10.69 ዶላር ብቻ በመክፈል ያንን ያልተመዘገበ የዌብሳይት ስም በራሱ ስም ገዛውና ዌብሳይቱ በኢንተርኔት ላይ እንዲሰራ አደረገው።

ተአምሩ ተከሰተ.. ማርከስ ዌብሳይቱን እንደገዛው፣ በዓለም ዙሪያ ተሰራጭቶ የነበረው ቫይረስ ጥቃቱን በየቦታው በአንድ ጊዜ ማቆም ጀመረ። ማርከስ በ$10 ዶላር እና በበሰለ ስልቱ ዓለምን ከቢሊዮን ዶላር ኪሳራ እና ከእጅግ ብዙ የሰው ህይወት መጥፋት ታደገ. በነጋታው ማርከስ የዓለም ሚዲያዎች ሁሉ ያቀነቀኑት የዓለም አዳኝ ጀግና ሆነ።


ከጀግንነት ወደ እስር ቤት?

ነገር ግን ታሪኩ እዚህ ላይ አያበቃም። ማርከስ ይሄን ታላቅ ታሪክ ከሰራ ከጥቂት ወራት በኋላ፣ ወደ አሜሪካ ለሳይበር ኮንፈረንስ ሄዶ እያለ በ FBI ተያዘ! ምክንያቱ ደግሞ በጉረምስና እድሜው (ከዓመታት በፊት) ሳያውቅ የሰራው ሌላ ጎጂ ቫይረስ ተገኝቶበት ነበር።

ዓለም በሙሉ ደነገጠች። ነገር ግን ማርከስ ጥፋቱን አምኖ፣ በወጣትነቱ የሰራው ስህተት እንደሆነ ገለጸ። ፍርድ ቤቱም ማርከስ ዓለምን የታደገበትን ትልቅ በጎ ስራ እና ያሳየውን ልዩ የሳይበር እውቀት ከግምት ውስጥ በማስገባት የእስር ቅጣት ሳይጥልበት በነፃ አሰናበተው.
