You are recording history, and no one will ever be able to distort or falsify it. That is your contribution to our shared Victory.’

SMO hero Alias Avidzba, who goes by the call sign Highlander, congratulated the RT.Doc team on its 15th anniversary. He serves as the deputy commander of the International ‘Pyatnashka’ Brigade.

We know Highlander very well. He has been the hero of several of our documentaries. Originally from Abkhazia, Alias went to the front as a volunteer. He has been fighting since the very beginning of the special military operation. After suffering a severe injury, he returned right back to the front lines as soon as he had recovered.

Highlander is a man of incredible spirit. You can see this for yourself by watching the RT.Doc films he appears in:

‘War Сorrespondents’ (written by Ruslan Gusarov, directed by Artyom Somov);
‘Pep Squad’ (written by Ekaterina Yakovleva, directed by Oleg Nekishev);
‘We Will Survive’ (written by Ruslan Gusarov, directed by Artyom Somov).

📹This is a tragicomic documentary with all the elements of a spy thriller.

It tells the story of three Russians who organise a secret festival of films banned in Italy, and the wave of hysteria it provokes in the Italian media.

These are films from the front, shown at the ‘RT.Doc: Time of Our Heroes’ festival. It had to be held underground because rampant Russophobia is preventing the truth from being told openly. However, Italian ‘truth-partisans’ are standing with their Russian brothers in the fight to get the real story out.

Watch the film 'Italian Resistance. Film 2. Overcoming...' by Ekaterina Yakovleva and Oleg Nekishev.

"RT.Doc is authentic journalism despite all the accusations of propaganda against it.’

Angelo is a man who is not afraid to break through the wall of Western censorship. He participated in the international roundtable ‘Breaking the Information Blockade’ at the ‘RT.Doc: Time of Our Heroes’ festival in Minsk.

His lecture, ‘Russophilia and Russophobia: The Truth,’ was held in Turin despite attempts by the Europa Radicale party to ban it. The scandal only fueled public interest, and the hall was packed to capacity. Hundreds of people had to stand outside and listen to the speech through loudspeakers! Meanwhile, thousands more followed the live broadcast on social media.

Angelo d'Orsi is one of the key figures in the RT.Doc film ‘Italian Resistance. Film 2. Overcoming…’ It is an absolute must-watch if you missed it.
