Job Description:

Handles all bank matters except collecting check books, which have to be done by the accountants.

Reconciles petty cash accounts.

Handles cash collection and timely deposit in the bank.

Prepares APs revolving fund replenishment.

Assists the AP Finance Officer in canceling payment document, i.e., putting paid stamps on used receipts, invoices and rechecks the completeness of financial documents, approval signatures and attached financial documents.

Effects approved cash payment, fuel coupons and materials from store

Provides accurate and timely daily cash reports and other regulatory reports.

Prepares deposit voucher to record cash collection and deposits.

As the cash custodian, he/she ensures safety deposit of financial assets, handles the material supplies according to the material management and finance guidelines of WVE.

Ensure that goods are received according to proper procedures and dispatched in a timely manner.

Identify, classify, and code all stock items promptly and accurately and maintain an updated inventory record of all stock items Ensure proper reconciliation of physical count with bin cards and stock cards and report the results to the ADP accountant regularly.

Take care to safeguard the store against theft and infestation by rodents and pests.

Report the likely risks to the store and properties therein before any damage occurs and report any damage or missing properties in the store immediately after incidence and seeks safe disposal as soon as possible.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 2 years and above in a similar or related positions

BA degree in Accounting, Business and related field

Strong MS office (Word, Excel, etc.) and the ability to use new technology, Knowledge of petty cash management & customer handling skills.

Job Description:

Union of Ethiopian Women and Children Associations (UEWCA) is a non-governmental, apolitical, and non-religious consortium of 80 CSOs. It is a consortium of women, children, and girls-focused CSOs that are engaging in socio-economic empowerment of women, girls, and children and gender equality in all regional states and city administrations of the country. It was established in 2010 as a platform to raise the voices of its members and beneficiaries, as well as capacitate and coordinate the efforts of its member CSOs towards women's, girls', and children's empowerment, and the realization of gender equality and women's rights.
Currently, UEWCA is implementing climate change projects, the Ethiopian Social Accountability Project, Gender Responsive Budgeting, Human Trafficking, and Combating Modern Slavery in all regions of the country, and the Two City Administration with funds obtained from UN-Women, Irish Aid, and SIDA through Farm Africa.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in preparation & controlling of budgets and reports

Preparing payment vouchers, cash receipt vouchers and all other documents for data processing

Ensuring of maintenance of proper books of accounts and dept up to data

Reconcile daily collections against the vouchers/receipts and deposit the cash in the bank at the earliest with proper documentation.

Ensure proper documentation of financial documents.

Reconcile bank statements with organization records monthly.

Follow up settlement of advance paid to sub-grantees/partner’s appropriately.

Update the financial data in Peachtree Accounting system.

Reconcile and update the records of supplies and material that are received and issued from the store against ledger statement monthly.

Keep a proper record of fixed assets of the organization and create fixed asset management system and conduct inventory and at the end of each year.

Assist program/project sections of the organization in preparing budget plan.

Liaise with the finance section of partner and donor organizations on financial management aspects of the program/project.

Conduct financial monitoring of the Sub-grantee/partner’s so as to ensure the fund is properly spent.

Prepare periodical financial reports based on agreed time frame.

Ensure the financial management of UEWCA is in line with the terms and conditions depicted in the grant manual.

Facilitate the periodic project audit as required and submit the report to the donor and government Organizations.

Responsible for the facilitation of any project administration with financial matters.

Carryout any other relevant duties as may be specified by the program/project section staff.

Ensure proper financial documentation of the organization.

Provide technical support to partner’s/sub-grantee towards prepare financial management.

Perform other duties as assigned by the senior Accountant.

The Talley Clerk will account and maintain revolving support of warehouses and assist warehouse keepers in compliance with CRS and donor (USAID) guidelines. The Talley Clerk is in charge of providing clerical support for warehouse Keepers in receiving, storing and delivering of all food commodities transactions at assigned compound.  
The Talley Clerk will be able to support the Logistics Department in its field offices by: 1) Assisting in receiving CRS food commodities and safeguard with proper handling and maintaining minimum warehouse standard at assigned custody. 2) Assisting on dispatching CRS food commodities to different CRS partners according to the allocation and relying to the CRS dispatching procedure. 3) To follow-up the warehouses and compounds are well cleaned and secured with the compliance of CRS procedure in assigned custody. 4) To inspect the quality and quantity of commodities stored in warehouses and during receiving & dispatching of commodities.
Job Responsibilities

 Assist in ensuring that trucks are properly covered with tarpaulins and fill in the truck inspection reports before commencement of offloading.

  Assist the warehouse keeper in scrutinizing waybills to ensure that the commodities are of correct quantities and quality.

 Assist the warehouse keeper during offloading process to make sure that the offloading is properly undertaken.

 Assist in inspection and counting of commodities during offloading before the commodities are accepted in the warehouse.

 Work closely with outsourced cleaning company and ensure that warehouses are kept clean as per CRS/ET standard warehouse management manuals.

Work closely with the outsourced security company and assist in overseeing the activities and performances of guards.

  Assist in controlling and ensuring proper management of warehouse; for example: proper handling of pallets, empty bags, reconditioning items based on CRS/ET warehouse manuals.

 Assist to make sure that utilities in warehouses and the warehouse premises are working properly and are appropriately utilized.

Assist the warehouse keeper in briefing the loading and offloading staff on how to stack, handle commodities, first aid and evacuation procedures and support the warehouse keeper to supervise and train casual labor.

  Support the warehouse keeper on the stacking process and count the accuracy of layers of the stack on warehouse and truck’s layers on loading at dispatch.

Job Summary:
You will manage and represent Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) activities operating through its sub-office in Dire Dawa to support implementation of high-quality programs serving the poor and vulnerable. Out of the Dire Dawa sub-office you will support the development and effective management of operational systems and resources and the delivery of high-quality programming in coordination with the CRS main office in Addis Ababa.  You will also provide general oversight of local partner projects and activities supported by CRS to recommend capacity building needs and identify inefficiencies and potential concerns.
