#Position Datacom Engineer

Job Description:

Remote support of on-site engineers and end users/customers

Maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization;

Undertaking data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments, using information from multiple sources;

Upgrading data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases;

The configuration of routing and switching equipment (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)

Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations;

Liaising with project management teams, third-line engineers and service desk engineers on a regular basis;

Speaking with customers via Tools (SAV2000, email, phone…) for initial requirement capture

Job Requirements:

Education and Major

 BSc degree in telecom/ in Computer Engineering 

Professional Knowledge

CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued) or other vendor specific courses, such as Juniper Certified Internet Expert (JNCIE);

Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)

Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model

Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools (U2000, Putty, WinSCP, Mozilla ...)

Being on the user end of IP services is useful,  as it gives him an idea of the types of problems that may arise

Business Skills

Preferred Experience in similar position with Mobile Operator or Vendor

Good command of English spoken and written 

Able to work under stress 

Must be a Team player as well as self-motivated and be able to work with minimum supervision.

Project Experience
Previous Experience with similar position in mobile operator or similar Project  4/5 Years of experience
Language Skill: English
Other requirement
Level 1 for junior engineer (minimum 2 years experience ) and L2 for expert engineers
