It is said that guidelines and proclamations are being prepared to bring Blood Bank and Eye Bank together

The Ethiopian Blood Bank has announced that a directive will be prepared and submitted to the Council of Ministers to work with other institutions, including Blood Bank and Eye Bank, in line with the government's directive to make similar institutions under one unit.

At a meeting of the Council of Ministers a month ago, the National Blood Bank, Director of the National Blood Bank Donor Service, Dr. Temesgen Abeje told Bisrat Radio.

The offices to be set up under the auspices of an institution will perform transplants, and the name is being discussed in a descriptive manner. Alternatively, we know that it is the Blood and Tissue Bank of Ethiopia.

የሚኒስትሮች ምክር ቤት ከወር በፊት ባደረገው ስብሰባ የኢትዮጵያ ደም ባንክ፣ ዓይን ባንክ፣ የኩላሊት ንቅለ ተከላን ጨምሮ ሌሎች ንቅለ ተከላ ህክምናን የሚሰሩ ቢሮዎች በአንድ እንዲሰሩ በሚል ባነሳው ሀሳብ እና ውሳኔ መሰረት ደንብ እና መመሪያ ተዘጋጅቶ ለሚኒስትሮች ምክር ቤት ሊቀርብ መሆኑን በብሔራዊ የደም ባንክ የደም ለጋሾች ዘርፍ አገልግሎት ዳይሬክተር ዶክተር ተመስገን አበጀ ለብስራት ሬድዮ ተናግረዋል፡፡

በአንድ ተቋማት ስር የሚቋቋሙት ቢሮዎች የአካል ንቅለ ተከላ ስራዎችን የሚሰሩ ሲሆን ስያሜውም ቢሆን ሁሉንም ገላጭ በሚሆን መልኩ ውይይት እየተደረገበት መሆኑ ተነግራል፡፡ እንደ አማራጭ ግን የኢትዮጵያ ደም እና ቲሹ ባንክ የሚል ስለመሆኑም ለማወቅ ችለናል፡፡ዶክተር ተመስገንም መመሪያው እና ደንቡ ለሚኒስትሮች ምክርቤት ቀርቦ ሲጸድቅ ስያሜው እና እንዴት በጋራ እንደሚሰሩ ግልጽ ነገር ይቀመጣል ሲሉ ጨምረዉ ለብስራት ሬድዮ ተናግረዋል፡፡
