We have extensive experience for over twenty-five years in customs clearing, freight forwarding, and ground transportation via overland trucking and railway. We are looking for competent and energetic professional who can be part of our dynamic and professional team for our IT Infrastructure Unit.
Job Purpose
Primary purpose of the role:
The role is to plan, direct, and coordinate the design, installation and connectivity of computer systems and network infrastructure to ensure the stable operations of MACCFA Freight Logistics’ IT Systems both in the Head Office and branches.
Key Accountabilities
Main areas of focus and accountability of the role – detail in order of importance the main areas of accountability of the role:
Provide technical guidance and expertise in the support of users with the scope defined by IT Infrastructure Manager.
Install, upgrade, monitor and support PC hardware as well as peripherals (printers, scanners, etc)
Maintain the software ensuring that the operating systems, security tools and software products are updated and maintained.
Ensure that local and wide area networking systems in the office and warehouse locations are operational
Support the global support team with fault diagnosis, performance issues and provide local assistance as required
Co-ordinate and enable new PC and user account setup
Ensure that all factors relating to security in networks, hardware, software and user environments are maintained within corporate guidelines
Other tasks as designated by the IT Infrastructure Manager

Education & Qualifications
BSC Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
Experience
5 years of progressive experience in managing IT infrastructure.
Specialist Knowledge & Skills
IT Operations/Support in a diverse environment of incident management, escalation procedures and related disciplines.
Experience in managing and supporting IT systems, infrastructure, and IT security systems.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills
Operating in a both a team and individual contributor environment.
Communicating with co-workers to provide and receive direction.
