Last night the French parliament voted in favour of Vaccine passports. This came after they voted against the idea earlier. The new 'passport' will identify if the carrier has been vaccinated, has anti-bodies due to recovering from COVID, or has had a negative test. Why call it a vaccine passport so? If unhindered travel is not at all dependent on being vaccinated, why call it that?
What doors to a new and scary world are being opened up with the introduction of 'vaccine passports' ? For now it is COVID, but in the years to come I expect many more vaccines to be added as the pharmaceutical industry thrives on the power it has grasped in this most recent 'crisis'. The thin end of the wedge is in place, watch as the door now ajar is opened wider and wider.
As a doctoral research student examining public health almost a decade ago, I learned through attending international conferences that Pharmaceutical companies are first and foremost competitive and unethical businesses (in general) and cannot be trusted. They have control of the World Health Organisation, the compiling of diagnostic and statistical manuals, and have been found guilty in so many global scandals in which they knowingly falsified results for profit despite being fully aware that thousands would die as a result. Governments, states and organisations like the WHO do not do science any more but rather they direct pharmaceutical companies to do their own research and they then rely upon that research to make public health decisions.
This COVID crisis has been the vehicle that has solidified the power of pharmaceutical companies. With banks and big-pharma controlling the state and our lives, sure why bother with the pretense of democracy at all?
