Каждым годом 60-тилетнего цикла управляет одна из 9-ти Мева. Мева сменяют друг друга в обратной последовательности. Мева, управляющая годом, называется - Мева года. Цикл Мева, наложенный на 60-тилетний цикл, формирует 180-тилетний цикл, который состоит из трёх Метренгов (или трёх 60-тилетних циклов Мева).
Первый Метренг начинается с 1 белой и заканчивается 5 жёлтой.
Второй Метренг начинается с 4 зелёной и заканчивается 8 белой.
Третий Метренг начинается с 7 красной и заканчивается 2 чёрной.
