This July, Bishop Philip Lim reminds us that relationships are not merely private choices but spiritual practices shaping character. He says, "When we hold the conviction that potential romantic partners are equally loved and precious to God, the way we approach relationships will naturally change."

May we seek relationships that promote flourishing, not bondage to momentary desires, honouring God with our bodies as ones who belong to him while extending compassion to those navigating complex situations, and calling one another towards a joyful sexual identity in Christ.

Blessed Youth Day! This Youth Day, we contemplate on the question, "If not now, then when?"

As we go through the different seasons of life, our responsibilities change and we get busier. So if busyness is the reason we keep telling God "later", then when exactly will the right time be?

But this question isn't just for our youth. It's also for us as a church. How can we help our young ones feel ready? To turn up week after week, and to not see serving as scary or out of reach, but as something they can do in their own capacity.

Based on the latest General Household Survey published in June 2026, Rev Gilbert Lok analyses what the national statistics show about what’s going on in the lives of fellow Protestant Christians in Singapore.

He reminds us, "...it is crucial to remember that amid statistical analysis, we are careful not to treat people as mere numbers. After all, we Christians affirm that each person is an image-bearer of the God who formed this universe. Behind every number is a name."

Rev Gilbert Lok has undergraduate training in Economics (1st-class Honours, NUS), and postgraduate degrees in Divinity (TTC) and New Testament (Oxford). Formerly a civil servant, Gilbert now serves as a pastor at Barker Road Methodist Church.

Dr Lai Pak Wah shares more about the history and Christian views on martial arts, along with pointers on spiritual discernment and discipleship in this area.

Dr Lai Pak Wah is Principal and Lecturer in Church History and Marketplace Theology at the Biblical Graduate School of Theology (BGST). Dr Lai has taught and researched in a wide range of subjects, including early church history, science and faith, Chinese medicine, digital disruptions, marketplace ethics and leadership. He is also the author of The Dao of Healing: Christian Perspectives on Chinese Medicine and a certified Belbin coach. He and his family worship at Mt Carmel Bible Presbyterian Church where he is the Elder overseeing Evangelism.

The Trinity Annual Conference (TRAC) set a new TRAC record with the largest cohort of MOTs admitted at the TRAC Special Session 2026.

TRAC held its 2026 Special Session on 18 July 2026 at Methodist Church of the Incarnation (MCI). From 1 August 2026, seven churches will welcome seven new assistant pastors. Effective from January 2027, the conference will regroups its four districts as well.
