In this video, I go over the definition of curvature, which describes how quickly a curve changes direction at a given point. It is defined as the magnitude of the derivative of the unit tangent vector in terms of its arc length, so that it is independent of any specific parameterization.

Rare photo of the Hutchison Effect steel sample just after the end of it was literally fragmented (dustified) into many small pieces!

This is the same sample that George Hathaway presents in his 1993 presentation and that Bob Greenyer analyzed in 2022.

This is similar to a smaller steel sample which also dustified into a cloud of black fumes. 😮

Both of the steel rods are also pictured in George's 2009 paper, which includes a Scanning Electron Micrograph (SEM) image of the fractured surface.

John Alexander discussed this steel rod in 2017 (which also was tested at BC Hydro), as well as PVC that was "pulverized and disappeared", and a steel file that glowed white and split apart without heat.

He also describes a molybdenum rod that got bent by the Hutchison Effect, which Alexander never saw happen during his PK investigations! 🤯
