I, myself, has had three things break in two years
1) btrfs (because I fucked up)
2) gtk 3.20 (because my theme wasn't updated, and it was purely cosmetic and fixed by downgrading and waiting until the theme was ready)
3) harfbuzz (because infinality wasn't updated so I uninstalled it)

Still. Arch is way too unstable, way too much of a pain to maintain. If you want its minor advantages, go ahead, but don't drag others into that mess
