But if you define gender as "brain sex" then no, there is no spectrum (at least from what we know); and even if there is, it's likely that it's not really a spectrum, but more like, two poles, with statistical outliers.
Saying that gender is a social construct is complete bullshit solely because dysphoria is a thing, since if gender wasn't tied to biology, why would you suffer if your identity differs from your physical appearance?

Does that really invalidate the argument though? Social constructs have big impacts on psychology. Like you can get mentally ill from being bullied or just excluded, which don't have any basis in biology, right?
