You set your channel and reply to the message the bot forwarded to you

I _think_ this works now.

Try to reply to the latest message

(Oh, also, you have to use !setchannel @username before that. If your channel is private ask me to set it by its ID)

Where the hell did everyone who spammed the thing go when I actually made it work and need to test it properly

You don't have to waste it per se, just spend it doing something you wouldn't normally want to do sober. When I get drunk, my social anxiety goes away entirely, maybe you have something similar?

Okay, using xbot for posting is now deprecated, use @personalchannelbot (which is running in the same process to conserve memory, so it can actually interact with xbot easily if you would ever want that)
