George Carlin once said that the earth wants plastic. He was right.

To be honest, I didn't ever think that evolution wouldn't find a way to recycle plastic - not to say that you shouldn't recycle properly, and use biodegradable materials, but good news - we might actually just forget about the plastic problem in a couple decades and just let the earth do its thing, and feed the thousands of species that will now consume plastic.

Optimistically, at least - I don't know how large-scale we can make this, especially that some ocean floors now literally have a layer of plastic on the bottom.

Man, I sure wish I could play god for a few minutes. Pinching that sheet and pulling it out would probably feel amazing.
