If you are sarcastic, you probably already know I am referring to a very particular tumblr subculture
Same can go for reddit which also has a stereotype which I almost always make fun of
You can ride the crazy train either direction, all's what left for us is to laugh at people who take things too seriously.
Obviously, many people who use tumblr (and reddit, for that matter) are very much sane. The problem is with people who aren't, and will piss in the online punch bowl whenever they can.

No one familiar with the website actually judges it for its stereotypical userbase
I mean you can't really know about the wide variety of content on tumblr and still assume that everyone is a rabid sjw. Sure, most people on there are probably left-leaning, but still.
and the common theme for every reddit joke is that they are fat atheist white knights with no gf who tip their fedora and pc master race
