California man arrested for allegedly eating a severed leg that he took from a pedestrian who was struck by a train.

The incident happened in Wasco, California.

According to police, 27-year-old Resendo Tellez removed a leg from an Amtrak Station.

Tellez was seen eating the leg according to a witness and was later booked into jail for removing or mutilating human remains.

The man who was struck by the train sadly died.

This collapse will cause huge disruption for shipping at one of the busiest ports on the U.S. East Coast and on the roads.

The bridge allows commercial ships to enter the Port of Baltimore, one of the top ports in the U.S. in terms of volume and value of cargoes.

It is the largest U.S. port for handling cars and light trucks.

Eight construction workers fell into the water, according to officials, with two rescued. One is severely injured in hospital

The Francis Scott Key bridge was up to code before the bridge collapse, Moore added.

Moore confirmed that the bridge was “fully up to code” prior to Tuesday’s accident. Moore added that rebuilding the bridge will be a long-term effort.

Maryland governor Wes Moore added that the ship’s crew had lost power around the time when the cargo ship hit the Key Bridge.

The ship’s crew issued a “mayday” request. Moore said that officials were able to slow the flow of traffic, preventing more vehicles from falling into the water.

“These people are heroes. They saved lives last night,” Moore said.
