Casting doubt on the Gospel of John the day before Resurrection Sunday mind you….
Excellent verse to bring to the table.
“You can play games with tradition, but not with text.
The gospel isn’t vague mythology—it’s bloodied reality.

The Lamb was pierced. The hands were nailed.
And the tomb was emptied.
That’s the scandal and the power of the cross.”

Well said.
True, so the Right should not do that. But we SHOULD have some long, hard conversations about whether exercising political power in particular ways IS, indeed, bad or if we’ve just swallowed some clever propaganda for a few decades.
By faith alone, by God’s grace alone, for God’s glory alone. He is risen.
A right proper community note for Easter. He WAS pierced for our transgressions so that we might have eternal life.
Well, I didn’t make church, but a dear friend from VA visited with her daughter and took our girlies to a soccer game last night and got a picture of my crew for me this morning, so I’m feeling very blessed. (In fact, if Brian looks a little tired it’s because the poor guy has been doing EVERYTHING)

Happy Easter to all! He is risen!
My favorite part of the Sistine chapel is on the entrance wall where Michelangelo painted one of his critics descending into hell with donkey ears and a snake biting his genitals.

I feel like the great Renaissance master and I would get along famously.
Once, when I was working at World Magazine, I put in a request to interview #SethDillon (who I didn’t know then) and asked #The_Kyle_Mann (who I knew a bit) to pass along the request.

When we finally did the interview Seth wasn’t familiar with our outlet, but he said Kyle described it to him as “a Christian version of Christianity Today.”

Boy did that nail it.
Looking at these posts, it looks like #CTmagazine may have published an lgbtq-affirming professor here. Which should also be a problem for #gordoncollege.
I saw a well-known ostensibly conservative legal strategist dismissing the idea that Christianity Today's article casting doubt on the historicity of the Book of John is a big deal. Theologian Bill Roach here does an excellent job not only breaking down why CT was so wrong here, but why the nails matter.

Well worth a 26-minute listen.
You would expect the Christianity Today article denying the historicity of the the Gospel of John to be a hot topic of discussion for YouTube apologists. And many have weighed in! Like #MikeWingerii, #HonestYPTweets, #billroach_, #ostrachan, and #Pastor_Gabe. But one of the most prolific YouTube apologists has yet to say a word about this newsy and controversial article that Russell Moore chose to publish. And I suspect he never will. Wanna guess who that is?
Good article from Doug Wilson that digs down into the real conflict between the #JonahDispatch Right and the #realchrisrufo Right, which is--just how close are we to losing America as we know it.

I tend toward Rufo side that, as Doug puts it, feels that "the constitutional order of the Founders is a shell of its former self, and that we must fight like Picts painted blue to get any of it back."

But I also agree with #DavidBahnsen that of course this does not make any means permissible, but that doesn't mean I'm willing to take my cues from the Goldberg/French wing on what should be IMpermissible. Because these are the people who assured me religious liberty was doing just fine because the courts said so at the same time that the Biden DOJ was targeting conservative catholics as potential terrorists.

Well I don't know when this happened #BoSnerdley but my 16-year-old self is freaking out right now....
(My not-so-16-year-old self freaking out a little too obvs 😂)
