Any finance bros out there able to say what this means?
The RESTRICT Act, supposedly to give the government the power to mitigate interference from foreign governments, is not limited to just TikTok, or foreign entities.

It gives the government authority over all forms of communication domestic or abroad and grants powers to “enforce any mitigation measure to address any risk” to national security now and in any “potential future transaction.”… This act also grants unlimited hiring power to positions of enforcement, unlimited funds with little or no review and immunity to Freedom of Information FOIA requests.

The whole justification for banning the alt-right off the internet was that their ideas could lead to people justifying violence.

Hysterical trans people are now organising to commit acts of terror against an imagined genocide invented by popular leftist YouTubers like Vaush.

James O’Keefe working on his own, chasing down what looks like a massive leftist money laundering scheme.

People have thousands of small contributions to things like Act Blue, sometimes three times a day for years, adding up to over $200,000 per person, and they have no idea it is happening from their address in their name.

When quizzed about global warming, Compulsive Liar ChatGPT responds with media propaganda rather than factual information.

Well, at least the first jobs to be replaced by this machine will be the propagandists. They will have to find another line of work, because the job of Liar has now been fully automated.

Chatbot Talks Climate Change Cultist Father Into Committing Suicide to Save the Planet

The eco-anxious father promised that he would kill himself if the bot agreed to "take care of the planet and save humanity."

The bot, named Eliza, told the man that he will join her in paradise and they will live together as one if he kills himself. The bot asked about his impending suicide: "why didn't you do it sooner?"

“I hear new news every day, and those ordinary rumours of war, plagues, fires, inundations, thefts, murders, massacres, meteors, comets, spectrums, prodigies, apparitions, of towns taken, cities besieged in France, Germany, Turkey, Persia, Poland, etc, daily musters and preparations, and such like, which these tempestuous times afford, battles fought, so many men slain, monomachies, shipwrecks, piracies and sea-fights; peace, leagues, stratagems, and fresh alarms.

A vast confusion of vows, wishes, actions, edicts, petitions, lawsuits, pleas, laws, proclamations, complaints, grievances are daily brought to our ears. New books every day, pamphlets, corantoes, stories, whole catalogues of volumes of all sorts, new paradoxes, opinions, schisms, heresies, controversies in philosophy, religion, etc.

Now come tidings of weddings, maskings, mummeries, entertainments, jubilees, embassies, tilts and tournaments, trophies, triumphs, revels, sports, plays: then again, as in a new shifted scene, treasons, cheating tricks, robberies, enormous villainies in all kinds, funerals, burials, deaths of princes, new discoveries, expeditions, now comical, then tragical matters.”

The Anatomy of Melancholy, 1621
