The most compelling evidence for the shooter being Crooks is his gimpy ear.

In the interest of studying all possibilities, an alternative analysis by OrwellRollsOver points out the discrepancies in the reported location of the shooter's body.

While he was seen alive in footage on the far left of the roof, his body was shot and shown on camera on the right side.

One possibility lines up with the window of the building, which as I pointed out, had 3 police snipers positioned inside.

This footage post-shooting clearly shows the shooter on the right side of the roof.
We could assume the body has not moved due to the trail of blood running straight down the roof's corrugation.
