An Ex-Muslim Speaks Out: "This Is Not a Free Country for Ex-Muslims"

Nissar Hussain was brutally attacked by Islamists outside his own home after leaving the faith, leading him and his family to be escorted from the town he lived in by armed police. He was left with severe injuries to his head, hands and knees in what was a religiously-motivated attempted murder. Despite this, and CCTV of the attack being publicly available, the police refuse to label it as anything but assault.

He spoke with me last week about his experience and the British government's wilful ignorance and refusal to acknowledge the climate of fear ex-Muslims suffer in this country.
