Indeed, we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.
🔹With utmost regret and sorrow, the news of the martyrdom of my long-time friend and colleague, and a loyal servant of the Islamic system, Martyr Dr. Seyyed Kamal Kharazi, due to injuries sustained from the terrorist operation by the United States Army and the occupying Zionist regime, has caused me deep grief and sorrow.
🔹After years of sincere struggle, he finally joined his martyred wife and registered his name among the proud martyrs of this land in the Ramadan War.
My acquaintance with him dates back to the years before the victory of the Islamic Revolution and the period of struggles; when, with a revolutionary spirit and firm resolve, he took steps towards realizing the lofty ideals of Islam and the Revolution.
🔹After the Revolution, in critical responsibilities, especially as the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran's office at the United Nations and also as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, I witnessed firsthand his tireless efforts, prudence, commitment, and dedication in advancing the goals of the sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Also, after his tenure as minister, by taking on responsibility in the Strategic Council for Foreign Relations, he ushered in a new chapter of sincere service and strategic thinking, and utilized his valuable experiences for the advancement of the country.
🔹I extend my congratulations and condolences for this great loss and the martyrdom of this sincere servant to the presence of the Supreme Leader (may his shadow be extended), his honorable and patient family, especially to my colleagues and brothers in the diplomatic apparatus, and the noble nation of Iran.
🔹I ask Almighty God for elevated ranks for that exalted martyr and companionship with the divine saints, and for patience and reward for the survivors.
