Giving feedback
How Europeans tell you, if your work/ideais utter bullshit needs changes: "A very good work/idea. I agree with you in x, y and z, but I have a couple of concerns" and then comes a huge list which explains you, what is wrong there. You could take some tips from this for giving good feedback.
If you directly criticize and tell negative things about someone else's stuff, they may get into a defensive position and not accept your feedback as you would expect. So it is good to start from some appreciation, because a person trying to do something is better than the one who doesn't.
Then agree with them, show them that you understand their point. People don't come to a conclusion for no reason, but they may overlook details or have a lack of expertise in the field. Don't blame them, nicely explain to them what they have missed instead.
I would also recommend to conclude writing that all of it is just your opinion, even if you are sure that you are right. It will help to reduce the pressure the person you are giving feedback may feel.

You may have seen job postings where in the section or what company offers it states "competitive salary" but never tell the salary range. When you pass the interviews they ask you what is your salary expectation. If you tell them market's average amount they come up with some kind of excuses and try to negotiate the sum.
Such companies are the majority. They try to keep their employees' salaries in secret, sometimes even by asking them to sign a non-disclosure agreement. It all ends up with everyone getting different compensation even being on the same level. And with money being a taboo topic to discuss in society people can get into disadvantages position. I find it quite unfair and actually unhealthy for the company itself. People will be wondering how much their colleagues get and silently be jealous if they feel like they get less than someone who does the same amount of work. Also anyone can come and ask for a salary increase because it is not settled and tied to a skill set. They may be upset and leave the company if their expectations are not met.
Recently our company has announced that they will bring transparency in this topic within the company by defining the salary range for different levels and align everyone's salary in their respective role. I really appreciate this move. I think more companies should do the same. Being fair to employees and treating each of them equally is a sign of good business execution.
