About two weeks ago, I took my car to my father and was told that I needed to get the tie rods and ball joints looked at as well as a front end inspection on my Honda Civic as the rods and joints haven’t been done in the ~20 years we have owned the car. I was told it would MAYBE be a few hundred dollars to get done, which I planned for and had saved up as money has been tight here for a bit after having someone couchsurf and not contribute.
I had it brought to our mechanic and was told this morning that it would be $2800. The suspension is shot and needs replacing so the car is safe to drive.
I am nothing without my car as I have grown up in her, taken her for my first conventions, met my partner because of her, driven her my entire adult life so far, and had planned to take her for our trip to Stratosfur so we can vend next week. She means the world to me, I need help!
