📍 New from the desk — Field Notes.

Most "set it and forget it" tools ask you to give up the wheel. We built the opposite: a publication that does the whole day's work, then waits for your word. You keep the last say.

📣 New in Mastheads: just get the articles.

You don't need a website to run a newsroom.

Pick your sections, your language, and your country — and your newsroom starts writing. No site to connect, no setup. You read the drafts, download them, and use them wherever you already publish.

The writing's done. Where it goes is up to you.

📣 New in Mastheads: write from your own brief.

Got a topic in mind? Hand your newsroom a brief — the angle, the key facts, the points you want made — plus any reference links, and it writes exactly that. Researched, sourced, drafted to your brief. You review every piece before it goes anywhere.

You set the direction. It does the writing.

Your content should be yours - so we made it easy to take with you.

Mastheads now ships two clean exits:

• A read-only API to pull your articles - full HTML, images, metadata - into your own site, app, or automation, on your schedule.

• One-click export of your whole archive: WordPress, Ghost, Markdown, and HTML, with every image. Downloadable any time - even from the cancel screen.

No lock-in. No export request. You own what the newsroom produces, and you can take it anywhere.

A general AI writer will write about anything. That is exactly why it can't run a real publication.

A publication has a beat - so now Mastheads does too.

Pick your niche - cats, gardening, local real estate, whatever you cover - and the newsroom works inside it: scouting topics on your beat, drafting in your voice under a real named byline, fact-checking, and illustrating. Same quality gates that can hold an article back. Same five languages.

You tell it what it covers. It does the rest.

Trust isn't a claim you make in a footer. It's evidence you can produce.

Every article Mastheads publishes carries an authenticity trace: the sources it used, the checks it passed, and the named editor of record behind it. Open any piece and verify it yourself.

And the checks can hold an article back - if a claim can't be sourced, it waits for a one-click human review instead of shipping.

Content you'd put your name on -> mastheads.app
Mastheads was built to refuse. Every article must pass independent quality gates: an AI judge vets sources against the specific story before writing, claims are cross-checked after, format and readability are enforced, and the image has to match the topic or the article is held. Any one gate can stop a piece and queue it for one-click review. Topics that can't be sourced properly are dropped, not padded. Review is the default; auto-publish is opt-in, per edition, recorded. Fewer articles, every one defensible - an AI newsroom you can put your real name on. mastheads.app
