Leftists still don't know what fascism is. Neither do most on the "right" either.
They're calling people like Milei a fascist despite his political program being the exact inverse of fascism: minimal state, free market libertarianism.
Communists and socialists are not the inverse of fascists, they are cut from the exact same Marxist cloth. Libertarians like Milei, on the other hand, are the inverse of fascism because they want to cut down the size of the state and limit state power in markets.
Ask any real studied fascist about this and they'll assure you Milei is the opposite of what they want, which is a totalitarian state socialism analogous to Soviet Russia or Mao's China.
Progressive leftists and fascists are thus on the same team when it comes to economic policy, they quibble mostly about social themes.

It is the Mises-style libertarians who go hardest against central banks because they are public institutions run by the state.
Socialists, Marxists, Keynesians and fascists all approve of central banks so long as they are nationalized state-run entities as most are today. They only oppose banking when it is "private" because they are opposed to all private businesses that run on a profit motive.
