_India Morning Headlines_
*Bharti Airtel - BUY (Ahead of JioPhone Next launch)*
Bharti Airtel has launched a compelling cashback offer for subscribers who purchase a new smartphone across ~150 leading smartphones. To avail cashback, subscribers need to recharge with an Airtel prepaid plan of Rs249 or higher for 36 months and handsets that are replaced or lost will not be covered. With Bharti’s offer mainly targeted at migration of 2G subscribers to 4G services, it will likely be Arpu accretive. Bharti’s offer will boost 4G subscriber additions and reduce churn, and timing is a positive too ahead of JioPhone Next launch in November.
*India Healthcare (A mixed bag on the cards)*
Continued strong growth in India may offset a benign quarter in the US and drive 5% YoY growth in 2QFY22 revenue for our pharma coverage. Weak US and promotion cost normalisation should pull down Ebitda margins (-0.7ppts YoY) leading to muted 2% YoY growth in Ebitda and 3% YoY decline in adjusted PAT. Comments on US product pipeline, cost normalisation and raw material availability from China will be watched to reaffirm margin trajectories. Healthcare plays will have a strong 2QFY22 on a subdued base as profits of Apollo/Dr Lal rise 204%/43% YoY. The favourable macro environment despite the seasonally weak quarter should drive a 19%/86% YoY rise in Ebitda/PAT for UPL. Commentary on economic conditions and raw material availability from China will be key to determine 2HFY22 outlook
*India Logistics (Transport pulse #2)*
That India’s logistics sector is known as a ‘domestic’ play may surprise many, but India is emerging as an export destination as well. This added a growth topping in 2QFY22, with container growth of 14% YoY versus overall port traffic up 6% YoY. 1HFY22 saw a pick-up across the transport value chain for ports, toll roads or rail, but air and metro rail still struggled. However, we fear the recent run-away rise of fuel prices—coal, gas and many commodities—may disrupt the economics of many businesses and could slow trade ahead. Adani Ports (O-PF) became the first causality of sky-high commodity prices with its Sep 2021 traffic (ex-M&As) down 5% YoY due to coal. This could risk its 18% traffic growth (ex-M&As) guidance for FY22. Roads are doing well and that is a good news for the largest toll-way developer, IRB.
*India property (Eying cracker of a festive season)*
Our channel checks with real estate developers suggest a slew of new launches planned for 3QFY22 (festive season), more than 2x that of 2QFY22. This complements low mortgage rates, a strong outlook on pay hikes and new hiring, and a strong demand environment (c.80% of prospective buyers planning to purchase a house in the next three months per JLL). While presale performance in 2QFY22 is set to be strong (higher than pre-Covid-19 levels), higher scale for new launches in 3QFY22 is likely to lead to record presales. We lift our presale estimates, lower our WACCs (led by declining borrowing costs for reputed developers and improved outlooks) and assign a premium to the NAVs of certain stocks where new project acquisition visibility is high (Oberoi, Prestige & Sunteck).

Schaffer India board meeting is scheduled to be held on 28 October 2021 to consider stock split
*Market kya lagta hain @ 7.30 am – Wednesday, October 13th 2021.*
*SGX Nifty (+49, 18053)*
*"If you’re offered a seat on a rocket ship, don’t ask what seat! Just get on."*
As an investor, we are sure you must be enjoying the ongoing ride at Dalal Street.
Yes, this rising stock-market is just moving one way up. But many an investor friends who did not participate must be having a left-out feeling.
Yes, it’s not easy to sit on the sidelines when everyone else is making money.
We are sure, the only question going on in their mind would be —— *Are there still any bargains left out there in our stock market?*
*If so, where are they?*
Well, we are always of the opinion that there is always a bargain somewhere in the stock market, provided if you know where to look — even when most shares are expensive, like now.
*So, the big question: Which is the 1 stock to buy right now?*
You might be tempted to know on the one investment pick that carries the
lowest risk…
*Well, its VEDANTA…Vedanta is our preferred bet on the buy side…*
*VEDANTA (CMP Rs. 313):* Buy VEDANTA October Futures for 0-3 days at CMP 313 for an objective of 323/351. Stop 297. Alert: Breakout Play.
You either love it, or you hate it.
Vedanta is destined to keep going up. You just need to get on board as a buy and hold investor.
That brings us to our *call of the day* suggests staying aggressively bullish as long as Nifty stays above 17,817 mark.
*Before we end this column, the gyan mantra on steel stocks…*
*Steel stocks likely to be in limelight as surging energy prices look to blunt European production, and exports, in the months ahead. We like JSW STEEL and JINDAL STEEL & POWER.*
