IRCTC launches cruise booking service from Mumbai to these places …Stock gains over 1%

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited(IRCTC) is venturing into the international and Domestic Cruise Business for the first
time targeting the domestic market including potential outbound guests. IRCTC has signed an agreement with Cordelia Cruises for the same.

·         People can now enjoy travelling on a cruise from Mumbai to places like Goa, Diu, Lakshadweep, Kochi this month. People can book tickets through IRCTC for taking a cruise journey this month from Mumbai to all the tourist places which falls on India’s coastline. In the first phase, the base of the cruise will be in Mumbai and it will travel all over India.

1. India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 67 crore 65 lakh.

2. Ayush Ministry launched the campaign “AYUSH AAPKE DWAR” campaign from Ayush Bhawan by distributing medicinal plants to staff. Minister of Ayush, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal said. The medicinal plants include Tejpatta, Stevia, Ashoka, Jatamansi, Giloy/Guduchi, Ashwagandha, Kumari, Shatavari, Lemongrass, Guggulu, Tulsi, Sarpagandha, Kalmegh, Brahmi and Amla.

3. Under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, several other programs including the launch of the Y-Break App, distribution of Prophylactic Ayush Drugs have been launched already. The lecture series for school and college students will be held by webinar on the Y-Break app is to be organized on 5th September.

4. CM Pinarayi Vijayan rules out lockdown in Kerala despite surging COVID cases in the state. Economic situation would go haywire if lockdown was imposed.

10. The National Investigation Agency on Friday filed a charge sheet against ten persons including former police officers Sachin Waze and Pradeep Sharma in the case of SUV with explosives found near industrialist Mukesh Ambani's house and the murder of businessman Mansukh Hiran.

Amid fear of the outbreak of the third wave of coronavirus in the coming days, several state governments in the country have started re-imposing strict restrictions to control the further spread of the infection. From announcing night curfews to making negative RT-PCR tests mandatory for people arriving from states reporting a high caseload, the state governments have enforced fresh guidelines recently.

12. AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi will begin a three-day visit to Uttar Pradesh from Ayodhya starting September 7.

13. The Supreme Court on 03 Sep (Friday) refused to grant interim bail to former Delhi Congress leader Sajjan Kumar, who is serving life sentence in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case, saying his medical condition is stable.
