Tata Power Co. and Adani Power Ltd. to sell power on exchange for one month, according to a Economic Times report. Ministry of Power will issue a statutory order allowing plants run by Tata Power Co. and Adani Power Ltd. at Mundra in Gujarat to sell electricity on the power exchanges for a month. About 3,200 MW capacity at Tata Power’s Mundra plant and Adani Power’s 1,200 MW plant will be allowed to sell on the power exchanges for a month to ease electricity supply, according to the report.

Jindal Steel & Power: Board has approved a plan to raise up to $1 billion by selling bonds denominated in foreign currency or rupee in one or more tranches.

L&T: The company has completed the sale of its entire stake in L&T Uttaranchal Hydropower to ReNew Power Services. Ugro Capital: To consider raising funds through various options of borrowings including by way of issue of debt securities through private placement or public issue in September.

HFCL: Board of Directors to meet on September 3 to consider the proposals for raising funds by way of issue of equity shares/preference shares/bonds/debentures/non-convertible debt instruments/warrants/any other securities, including through preferential issue on a private placement basis, QIP, rights issue or any other methods or combination thereof.

NHPC: The Unit 3 (60 MW) of Bairasiul Power Station in Himachal Pradesh has been tested and commissioned after completion of renovation and modernisation works. The commercial operation of Unit 3 will start from August 31, the company said.

Bank of India: Approved the closure of the issue period for QIP on August 30 and the issue price of Rs 62.89 per equity share. The issue price is at a discount of 4.99% to the floor price of Rs 66.19 per equity share.

Nifty index opened gap up and inched higher with sustained buying interest throughout the day to hit a fresh life time high of 16951. It escalated upwards since its opening tick and closed near its day’s high with gains of around 225 points. It formed a strong Bullish candle on daily scale with higher highs - higher lows on lower time frame

📊◆ Now it has to continue to hold above 16800 zones to extend the move towards 17000 and 17200 zones while on the downside support is seen at 16700 and 16500 levels

📊◆ India VIX fell down by 0.62% from 13.40 to 13.31 levels. Cool down in Volatility from recent swing highs has given a bullish stance to the market and now VIX needs to hold below 12 zones to get more buying interest in broader market

📊◆ On Option front, Maximum Put OI is at 16000 followed by 16500 strike while maximum Call OI is at 16500 followed by 17000 strike. Minor Call writing is seen at 16700 then 17000 strike while Put writing is seen 16700 then 16600 strike. Option data suggests a broader trading range in between 16500 to 17250 zones while an immediate trading range in between 16750 to 17200 zones

📊◆ Bank Nifty opened gap up and kept moving northwards then surpassed its previous hurdles to touch high of 36398 levels. Banking stocks drove the momentum in the index and it closed with major gains of around 720 points. It formed a healthy Bullish candle on daily scale and negated its lower highs formation

📊◆ Now it has to hold above 36250 zones to witness an up move towards 36750 and 37000 levels while on the downside support are seen at 36000 then 35700 levels

New Margin rules from 01-09-2021

SEBI margin rules explain in layman’s language:

SEBI has changed some rules related to margin and trading.

1) Buying and selling of shares will Require Upfront margin from now onwards.

Eg: If you want to buy Reliance shares worth 1lakh, you must have 20k Rs in your account as cash and the rest money to be paid within 2 days...

👆🏻 Major Change If you want to sell 1 lac worth of Reliance shares from your holdings for that scenario also you must have min 20k rs in your account. Failing which penalties will be levied.

👆🏻 Read Carefully... Selling from holding will also require Upfront margin in cash (Var+ELM).

You can keep extra cash or can pledge other holdings for the stipulated margin required.

2) Shares bought today cannot be sold Tomorrow.

Implications: BTST Closed

Eg You bought Reliance On Monday. You can only sell those shares after receiving the delivery of shares. T+2 you can sell on Wednesday.

You can only sell the shares after you receive in Your DP/only after receiving the delivery of shares.

3) Shares Sold Today from delivery..... the funds cannot be used for new trades today. You can use the funds for new trades the next day.

Eg:🌟 You sold 100,000 Rs worth of Reliance's shares today.
👆🏻You cannot use this money to buy fresh shares of other companies.
