2. India achieves 100 GW Mile Stone of Installed Renewable Energy Capacity. The total installed renewable energy capacity in India, excluding large hydro, has crossed the mile-stone of 100 GW. India stands at 4th position in the world in terms of installed RE capacity, 5th in solar and 4th in wind in terms of installed capacity.

3. *The Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO) mission Geo Imaging Satellite (Gisat-1) failed* early on 12 Aug (Thursday). The GISAT-1 is officially named EOS-03 (earth observation satellite 03).

4. 🚀(GSLV-F10) took off at 5.43am on 12 Aug as scheduled and the core stage burn out happened as planned, propelling the rocket in its intended path.
