This apparently is done to give benefit to Vodafone UK, which was in litigation since 15 years with Indian income tax department. Hopefully Vodafone UK will pump more money into "Idea" now....

5. *What is Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PM-GKAY)* : Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana is a food security welfare scheme announced by the Government of India in March 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic in India. The program is operated by the Department of Food and Public Distribution under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. This scheme as part of Atmanirbhar Bharat to supply free food grains to migrants and poor. During the period May - November 2021, more than 81.35 crore people will be provided 5 kg free wheat/rice per person / month along with 1 kg free whole chana to each family per month. Wheat has been allocated to 6 States/UTs, - Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Delhi and Gujarat and rice has been provided to the remaining States/UTs. This is over and above the regular monthly entitlements under National Food Security Act, 2013 (NFSA).
Families belonging to the Below Poverty Line - Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) and Priority Households (PHH) categories will be eligible for Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana scheme.
6. *The University of Delhi, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Ladakh* , which is one of the youngest University in the country, on 5th August 2021 for a period of five years.
7. *Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the continuation of ‘Samagra Shiksha Scheme’ for school education for further five years.* scheme would continue from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2026. This scheme emphasises on improving the quality of school education by focussing on two T’s – Teacher and Technology.
8. *What is samagra Shiksha scheme?*
The Samagra Shiksha scheme is an integrated scheme for school education covering the entire gamut from pre-school to class XII. The scheme treats school education as a continuum and is in accordance with Sustainable Development Goal for Education (SDG-4).
