SEBI Investigating Some Adani Group Firms, Minister Says
· Market regulator SEBI is investigating some Adani Group companies with regard to compliance with rules, Pankaj Chaudhary, minister of state for finance, says in a written reply to a lawmaker’s questions.
· The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence is also investigating certain entities belonging to the Adani Group under laws administered by it, according to the minister.
· Holding of Foreign Portfolio Investors in six publicly-traded Adani companies is based on day to day trading of shares and thus dynamic, the minister says.

Dow Falls over 700 Points, Oil Drops as Delta Variant Sends Investors Into Bonds…10-Year Bond fell to 5-month low
· U.S. stocks, oil prices and government bond yields slid Monday amid anxiety that the spread of the Delta coronavirus variant would hold back the global economy. Dow Jones slipped 775 points (down 2.3%) and Nasdaq declined 1.7%. US 10-Year bond shed 11bps to 5-month low at 1.17%.
· European shares sank 3% on Monday, and were on track for their worst session in nine months because of worries that the fast-spreading Delta coronavirus variant could slow the global economic recovery.
· Gold edged marginally lower at $1812/ounce, extending its retreat from a one-month high, as the dollar and Treasuries rallied amid a deterioration in risk sentiment across markets.
· Brent Crude fell below the key $70 level (down 5%) for the first time in more than a month as OPEC and its allies agreed to raise output, and as the delta Covid variant threatens global demand.
