The Indian Air Force has ordered a Court of Inquiry to ascertain the cause of the accident. During this incident, Squadron leader Choudhary tried to eject himself from the plane, however, he could not open his parachute and the aircraft fell on the ground.

*What is mucormycosis/Black Fungus?*

*Outlook: Positive*
• Result was above estimates mainly due to lower than expected slippages and a decline in GNPA, restructured and SMA book.
• GNPA came at 4.98% vs QoQ 5.44% (proforma)
• NNPA came at 1.5% vs QoQ 1.81% (proforma)
• As on Q2, SBI was expecting additional slippages of Rs. 20,000 Cr in H2 however, the figure has come at Rs. 13,229 Cr. Gross proforma slippage in Q4 has further declined to Rs. 5473 Cr (0.9%) vs QoQ Rs. 7,519 Cr (1.3%) against 2.2% in FY20, which was impressive. Total slippage for FY21 was at Rs. 28,564 Cr (1.2%)
• Restructuring is marginally lower QoQ at Rs. 17,852 Cr (0.7%) vs QoQ Rs. 18,125 Cr (0.8%)
• Total slippages + Restructuring for FY21 at Rs. 46,416 Cr against earlier guidance of Rs. 60,000 Cr .
• Slippages in FY22 will mainly be from SME & Agri and will be minimal from retail & corporate.
• SMA 1 & 2 book also declined from Rs. 17,946 Cr (76 bps) in Q3 to Rs. 11,519 Cr (48 bps).
• Collection efficiency has declined by just 20 bps in April from March as bank feels second wave will have some impact with a lag.
Bank has addition provision buffer of Rs.25376cr to deal with future NPA
• We expect credit cost to gradually reduce in coming quarters from the current run-rate of ~180 bps which should increase the ROE to double digits by Q4FY22/FY23 after a gap of 7 years. FY15 was the last year when the bank delivered double digit ROE post which asset quality issues accelerated. Bank is targeting ROE of 15% in long run.
• Corporate GNPAs carry a reported PCR of over 88%, so legacy book is taken care of.
• Advances growth was +3% QoQ and +1% YoY and stood at Rs. 24.5 Lac Cr. Retail advances grew 16% YoY while corporate degrew by -3% YoY.
• Domestic NIM for the quarter at 3.11% vs QoQ 3.34% & YoY 2.94% YoY.
Bank had several of Interest of Rs 2127cr and reversal on Interest on Interest of Rs830cr during the quarter adjusted to this NIM would have been higher
This led to NII growth of 19% YoY. Opex grew by 16% YoY (Deposit insurance premium for FY21 increased to 4348 Cr against 3213 Cr in FY20. This was bunched up in Q4 and caused higher growth in opex). This resulted in PPOP growth of 25%.
