Approves expansion of Balwal Plant capacity to 1.8 lakh wheels per month from 1.2 lakh wheels per month. The fresh investment approved for the same is Rs 167 crore and the expanded production is likely to commence from January 1, 2022. The board has also approved investment to set up a new project for four-wheel lighting in Gujarat for Rs 89.69 crore. The project is expected to be commissioned in Jan 2022.

# Crude oil prices inched up ahead of OPEC+ meeting this week. Brent and WTI prices increased by 0.6% and 1.0% to US$64.98/bbl and US$61.56/bbl respectively.

# Natural gas has also climbed up by 1.1% to US$2.59/mmbtu.

# Suez Canal supply line is cleared as evergreen sheep is refloated and it is expected to return to normal operations within a few days.

# Indian Steel Mills proposes hike of Rs9,000/t and Rs7,000/t for flats and longs for H1FY22 auto contracts. For Jan-Mar’21 contract, hikes of Rs7,350/t in flats and Rs6,200/t in longs were agreed upon.

# India’s domestic scrap index moved sharply upwards by Rs800/t to Rs35,100/t on the back of sharp increase in semis prices.

# India’s domestic market ended the week on a positive note as iron ore, billet, rebar and HRC prices moved up by 0.9%, 1.7%, 1.9% and 2.7% respectively while coking coal prices softened by 0.8% on a weekly basis.

Nifty index opened gap up and moved in a volatile fashion within a range of 150 points. It could not breach previous day's high and moved sideways without emergence of a clear trend. It formed a Doji candle and also a Doji Star pattern by combining price behavior of last two trading sessions. It closed the day at its opening zones with gains of around 180 points

◆ Now, it has to hold above 14550 zones to witness a bounce towards 14675 and 14800 zones while on the downside support exists at 14400 and 14250 levels

◆ India VIX fell down by 9.03% from 22.69 to 20.65 levels. Cool down in VIX below 20 zones is required for bullish grip and smoother move in the market

◆ Since, it is the beginning of new series, option data is scattered at different strikes. On option front, Maximum Put OI is at 14000 followed by 13500 strike while maximum Call OI is at 15000 followed by 16000 strike. Option data suggests an immediate trading range in between 14000/14200 to 14800/15000 zones

◆ Bank Nifty opened gap up but continued moving sideways throughout the day. It breached previous days's high but could not hold above 33500 zones and drifted towards 33200 zones. Finally it managed to close with gains of more than 300 points near to a 33333 zones. It formed a Bearish Belt hold sort of candle on daily scale but weekly structure continues to be negative

◆ Now it has to hold above 33500 zones, to witness an up move towards 34000 and 34500 zones while on the downside support exists at 33000 and 32500 zones

◆ Bullish setup in CONCOR, SAIL, Tatasteel, Godrejcp, Jindalstel, Asian Paint, Titan, Srtransfin, Berger Paint, Balkrishnaind, Nationalum, Cholafin, HDFC, Tataconsum, Grasim, Pidilitind, and VEDL
