As for that which has not been established in the Qur’ān and Sunnah—such as specifying certain chapters or verses to be recited in a particular manner, or for a particular purpose - it is not permissible for a person to do so while believing that reciting that specific chapter or verse in that specific way is a Sunnah. Whoever does this has legislated into Allāh’s religion that which is not from it.

As for that which has been authentically reported from the Sunnah of the Prophet (sallallahu ’alayhi wa sallam), there is no issue with performing it consistently if it has been authentically established that it was done consistently. Likewise, if it was reported to have been done occasionally rather than regularly, then it should be practised in the manner in which it has been reported.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗹𝗹ā𝗵’𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Even if someone specifies a particular recitation from the Qur’ān to be performed on a constant basis, while there is no evidence that the Prophet (sallallahu ’alayhi wa sallam) prescribed it in that manner, then it is not permissible to practise it in that way.

By the permission of Allāh, this will help establish a Sunni Salafi masjid in South Manchester, where prayers will be performed, the Qur’ān will be recited, and knowledge will be taught for years to come, In shā Allāh!
