Before I went to Berlin this summer in June, I didnโ€™t want to go at all. I wanted to stay in Paris. I already reserved my gnome house shibari studio and I wanted to keep a good relationship with the owner of the home, so I decided to honor my commitment for a full month. But once I got to Berlin, even if my last relationship with a guy here ended and I thought I would be lonely and sad, the summer went the opposite direction. I ended up staying for two months ๐Ÿคฃ

I met delightful new play lover partners, and had so many funny adventures and new friends.

I loved languid days in Vabali, Liquid rom and spending time in nature all the same. I loved falling asleep naked in the Vabali garden, hearing the leaves rustle and the wind on my bare skin, feeling safe to be naked like that and at peace.

I loved meeting so many sexy wild crazy people, that make me feel not alone in my own wildness. I explored my sexuality more, feeling like I own more of it, I expressed it deeper.

I tied with riggers who made me discover new versions of myself. I cracked open and cried in rope. I cracked open and cried during mind blowing intimacy. I got hypnotized by talented hypnotists, discovered a very hidden but intense masochist within me with sadists, and surprised myself thinking I knew every erotic version of me at this point.

I used to think Berlin had bad food and Paris was better for this reason. But this summer proved me wrong again. I discovered many new restaurants with my foodie friend Ellie, changing my opinion about food being bad in Berlin: now finding it to be an experimental culinary playground.

I fell in love deeper with this city, and I still donโ€™t know whether itโ€™s Paris or Berlin, maybe it doesnโ€™t have to be either. I want to settle into a permanent home and shibari studio soon, and this summer taught me something: beauty is really everywhere when you surrender to the unknown. It taught me to always have an open mind and not anchor into limiting beliefs, and allow myself to be challenged, surprised and transformed.

Itโ€™s a really beautiful quality of mind I developed over time. I used to have a lot of negative beliefs, (like I used to hate Berlin cuz itโ€™s not aesthetic like Paris) and allowing myself to surrender to change or be more flexible in my perception opened me to new possibilities and realities. I swear, I think practicing the surrender of shibari gave me a new philosophy of how to live too.

Lately, it feels like I am so delighted to be anywhere I am because I am having so much fun no matter where I am. But it also makes me feel confused because Iโ€™m not sure where my permanent home should be built. Apart of me thinks now, home should not be a destination, maybe itโ€™s in the heart of a person, like falling in love, or maybe itโ€™s just in my own heart. Iโ€™m in the process of discovering that. ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿชข

Me and Miriam Veil are creating something special together in London November 7th. I canโ€™t wait to create a memorable moments with one of my favorite shibari muses! The theme of this self produced event was called Psychadelia. We will have a new theme for our upcoming event.

Thereโ€™s so many amazing community centers and third places in Berlin where people can meet over similar interests.

I really wish Paris had the same. Maybe itโ€™s time to take initiative and create some?

What does a Berlin Monday morning look like? A shibari class with my student Ivan and our muse Ellie.

Most people imagine shibari is about restraint. My work is actually about restoring agency. It creates a carefully negotiated space where someone can stop performing, return to their body, communicate their boundaries and experience being witnessed rather than objectified.โ€

People spend enormous amounts of time overthinking, scrolling and disconnecting from physical sensation. (Including myself sometimes)

In shibari, the combination of focused attention, breath, touch, structure and trust brings the mind intensely into the present. For the person tying, it can create flow. For the person receiving, it can create surrenderโ€”a temporary release from the pressure to control everything.
