The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's office has announced the seizure of over 50 million hryvnias ($1.6 million USD), 830 kilograms of silver, six plots of land and three apartments from over-the-counter (OTC) brokers who illegally facilitated cryptocurrency purchases for users from Russia and Russia-occupied territories.
According to the announcement, local police are investigating fraud, money laundering and tax evasion charges against the OTC brokers. The total value of the seized assets is reported to be $3.3 million, with most of it in the form of cash in euros.
