Bank of England rules out creating a digital pound on the model of China's CBDC
Bank of England deputy governor John Cunliffe said the digital pound is likely to operate as a "merchant-grade" instrument based on a bank account, rather than as a currency for retail users.
Cunliffe, who has been tasked with overseeing the central bank's (CBDC) UK digital currency project, said policy makers were looking at ways to make the digital pound "more appropriate for consumers to make online transactions".
"I think it is unlikely that any of us will issue a retail CBDC in the form of a bearer document. It would probably be some form of bank account-based instrument."

As we can clearly see in this chart, bid ask spread across exchanges has reached their second widest levels over the last year as volatility has exploded between the end of Q2 2022 and Q3 2022 (in which we are currently). This is a pattern generally seen before a large mid term move, which is exactly what we’re expecting to see in the next few weeks.
What does this means in terms of price action for BTC and ETH?
Considering that we’ve been in a high volume mid term correction over the past few months (for the market overall), we can expect our next high volume mid term move to be towards the upside. If this is confirmed over the next few weeks, we’ll likely see BTC moving towards $26,000 or higher and ETH moving towards at least $1,700.
