85% of merchants see crypto payments as a way to reach new customers: Survey
While the market goes steady, the crypto ecosystem continues to grow as merchants innovate and adopt cryptocurrency payments in their quest to gain new customers.Data platform PYMNTS collaborated with Bitpay to survey merchants.In the report titled "Paying With Cryptocurrency," the researchers found that among businesses with an annual income of $1 billion, 85% are adopting crypto payments to find and gain new customers. On the other hand, 82% of all the merchants who participated in the survey cited crypto’s elimination of middlemen as their reason for accepting it as a payment method.

From over $47,000 in April down to sub $20,000 by the end on June, BTC has seen a 56% overall decrease in value on 2022’s second quarter, which has been the biggest overall quarterly decrease in over a decade. This type of price action has never been seen before, considering the volatility, volume and violence of price action over the past 3 months.
What does this means for the last 2 quarters of the year in terms of price action?
Judging by historic BTC price action patterns over the past 10 years, we can very much expect to have at least a decently bullish Q3, with which we expect to see a 30%-60% price increase until our September monthly close. This would push us towards $1.2-1.4 Trillion in total market cap and easily take alts to new mid term highs.
