The farthest corner of the world was also the most progressive: New Zealand pioneered womenβs rights long before countries like the US and the UK, and became the first country in the world to give all women the right to vote in 1893.

Australia π¦πΊ has no active volcanoes.
Even though Australia is home to nearly 150 volcanoes, none of them has erupted for about 4,000 to 5,000 years! The lack of volcanic activity is due to the island's location in relation to a tectonic plate, the two layers of the Earth's crust.

π₯ Fun fact π‘:
In 1325 Italy, the War of the Oaken Bucket unfolded between Modena and Bologna, not over grand political ambitions but a stolen bucket. Triggered by soldiers from Modena pilfering a bucket from a Bolognese well, the conflict reflected deep-seated religious and political tensions. Modena, with 7,000 soldiers, repelled the 30,000-strong Bolognese army, resulting in more than 2000 deaths.

In October 1925 a soldier stationed near the border between Greece and Bulgaria lost control of a dog. The dog ran towards Bulgaria. The soldier ran after and when he got too close the Bulgarians shot him.
Greek general Pangalos was not about to let this stand. He threatened Bulgaria if they didnβt make amends, but they refused. Greece invaded and took possession of a town until the League of Nations ordered them out and ordered Greece to pay for the damage they had caused.
Duration: 10 days
Deaths: 50 Bulgarians and 125 Greeks.
