⚡️ Shu the Pallas' cat got a new estate in Leningrad Zoo!
Shu the Pallas' cat will celebrate his 5 months anniversary soon, though he's as big as his mom Namika! So it's time for the young fluff to start living separately 😺
Leningrad Zoo staff members created an enclosure design which fulfill needs of a young manul, and brought it to reality in the shortest possible time 💪🏼
Irina Pulyazhenkova, Head of the Carnivorous Mammals Department, said: „Pallas' cat is a cat of open spaces, steppes. In the artificial conditions of the zoo we tried to increase the area and imitate the variety of terrain“. The total area of new enclosure is about 16 m² (172 feet²).
The design was inspired by a fairy tale written by Alexander Pushkin: „«A learned cat whiles away the hours, by walking slowly round and round» – a massive willow tree with a fork was put in the center, it was surrounded by oak and elm slabs, so that Shu could make several circles around the trunk“.
The enclosure was designed in a way that visitors will see Shu, but Shu himself will think that he is invisible 👻
Right now, Shu and Namika can visit each other, but in a couple months, when renovation starts in Shu' Sven's enclosure, Shu will start living separately as an adult and serious manul!

Настолько, что впору признаться: мы уже приезжали в Hellabrunn и раньше, но нам никак не удавалось сделать хорошие снимки с ними, потому что в светлое время суток сёстры в основном предпочитают сидеть в домике или в засаде 👻
В этом же году манульная фото-фея нам улыбнулась! И теперь мы наконец-то можем вас познакомить с этими таинственными меховыми фрау! 😺

This sisters live together in Hellabrunn zoo Munich, Germany.
They are 7 years old, and they came from Chomutov, Czech Republic, but their maternal grandpa and grandma are from Novosibirsk ❤️🔥
Stubsi and Pluschi (Plüschi) are real amazons! They are wild, original and incredibly cautious and farouche! We have to admit that it wasn’t our first visit to Hellabrunn, but we couldn’t take decent photos before because sisters prefer to stay inside their den or sit in ambush during the daytime 👻
This year a manul photo fairy smiled upon us, and we are able to show you these mysterious fluffy Frauen! 😺

На первом фото – Штупси, на втором – Плюши.
Абсолютное большинство ответили верно! И разглядели много интересных различий между сёстрами! 👏🏻
В том числе и те, про которые вам рассказали бы сами киперы о своих подопечных:
1️⃣ Тонкие выразительные брови-ниточки Штупси;
2️⃣ Необычный нос Штупси: правое крыло носа меньше левого + на нём тёмная родинка. Из-за чего создаётся впечатление, будто у неё маленький носик.

Like his gorgeous sisters, Thomas is incredibly charismatic, majestic and unusually, like a ripe dandelion, fluffy!
But under his soft blond fur, like under armor, hides a real Viking cat! His weapon is a stern gaze full of dignity, a confident step, a deft snatch, wit and temperament of a wild hunter combined with natural charm ❤️🔥
Our furry hero prefers to look down on the world from above, give visitors a contemptuous squint, and to hunt the smallest guests of the zoo to entertain himself 😈😁
