The Israeli military is investigating the possibility that Hezbollah targeted a foreign vessel off the coast of Lebanon yesterday.

On Sunday, Hezbollah claimed to have targeted an Israeli Navy vessel using a cruise missile. The terror group said "a direct hit was confirmed" on the ship, 68 nautical miles off the Lebanese coast, "after hours of tracking the target."

The IDF denies the claim, saying "this is a false report" and "no Israeli vessel was hit."

"We emphasize that there was no threat to an Israeli vessel or in its vicinity at any stage," the military says.

A military source says that it is possible that Hezbollah fired on a foreign vessel, which was not hit. The matter is under review by the IDF.

The IDF issues a statement on its strikes earlier on Iran's largest petrochemical facility, saying the site had been used to produce materials for missiles.

"At the site in Asaluyeh, a central production infrastructure had been established for materials used in the manufacture of explosives and propellants for ballistic missiles and additional weaponry," the military says, adding that "the site serves as a significant hub for producing essential components for the missile industry of the Iranian terror regime."

Over the weekend, Israel struck another major petrochemical site in southern Iran.

"The IDF has now targeted Iran’s two biggest petrochemical complexes, rendering more than 85% of Iran’s petrochemical export capacity inoperable," the military says.

The IDF Home Front Command says it will be extending the warning times for rocket fire on communities in the Golan Heights and Sea of Galilee area, after carrying out a similar move for Lebanon border communities.

The latest move means that in many communities where the time to seek shelter was immediate or within 15-30 seconds, there will now be slightly more time.

The Home Front Command, along with other military bodies, analyzed Hezbollah's rocket fire and the IDF's detection systems, and determined that numerous communities can get slightly longer warning times.

The changes will apply to Katzrin, Buq'ata, Ein Qiniyye, Majdal Shams, Mas'ade, and several communities of the Golan Regional Council and the Emek Hayarden Regional Council.

They include 14 communities moving from immediate to 15 seconds; 8 communities from immediate to 30 seconds; 7 communities from 15 seconds to 30 seconds; 7 communities from 15 seconds to 45 seconds; and 8 communities from 30 seconds to 45 seconds.

There are another five communities on the northern border, where the time to seek shelter was 15 or 60 seconds, where no changes will be made at this stage.

The move will take effect starting tomorrow at noon, according to the Home Front Command.

The Israeli military has killed around 1,100 Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon since hostilities escalated amid the war with Iran, IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin says in a press conference.

"Every day, the troops are eliminating dozens of terrorists. Every week, hundreds of terrorists are eliminated, from the ground, air, and sea," Defrin says.

"So far, we are at 1,100 Hezbollah terrorists eliminated. This number is growing," he adds.

The Israeli Air Force carried out "intensive strikes" over the past day against key infrastructure of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Tehran, the military says.

The IDF says the targets included a "central site" of the IRGC, "responsible for suppressing the civilian population in Iran"; "key infrastructure" at the IRGC's headquarters; and other "key infrastructure" at the headquarters of the IRGC air force.

The military says IAF aircraft also struck ballistic missile storage and launch sites, and a site used to manufacture air defense systems.

The IDF has identified a ballistic missile attack from Iran, targeting southern Israel

The Israeli Air Force completed an "extensive" wave of airstrikes in Tehran and other areas of Iran a short while ago, the military says.

The IDF says the strikes hit Iranian regime infrastructure sites, and further details will be provided later.

No injuries or impacts are reported following Iran's latest ballistic missile attack.

Sirens had sounded in Beersheba and the surrounding area in southern Israel, in the first attack in some 12 hours.

The IDF issues an unusual "urgent warning" to Iranians not to travel by train across Iran until this evening.

"Dear citizens, for your safety, we request that from this moment until 21:00 Iran time, you refrain from using and traveling by train across Iran," says the IDF's Persian-language spokesman, Lt. Col. (res.) Kamal Penhasi in a statement.

"Your presence on trains and near railway lines puts your lives at risk," he adds.

An early warning is also issued in central Israel.

The IDF announces that it has deployed a sixth division to southern Lebanon amid the ongoing ground offensive against Hezbollah.

The 98th Division, an elite formation of paratroopers and commando units, in the past week began "targeted ground operations to additional objectives in southern Lebanon," the military says.

The IDF also says that troops have "completed their deployment" along the so-called "anti-tank line," several kilometers deep into Lebanon, from which Hezbollah could launch anti-tank guided missiles at Israeli communities.

The military says the troops now "continue operating in the area to strengthen the forward defensive line and remove threats to residents of the north."

According to the military, five IDF divisions are now involved in the ground offensive against Hezbollah: 146th and 162nd pushed into the western sector, the 91st and 36th raided the eastern sector.

In addition, the IDF's 210th "Bashan" Regional Division is stationed in the Mount Dov area and has conducted several raids on the Lebanese side of the mountain.

Rescue forces and medics are responding to reports of impacts in central Israel following Iran's latest ballistic missile attack.

The missile fired at central Israel carried a cluster bomb warhead, according to the IDF.

Sirens also sounded in the Eilat area of southern Israel, although that missile, also carrying a cluster bomb, is assessed by the IDF to have struck an open area.

There are no immediate reports of injuries.

The IDF confirms bombing another petrochemical facility in Iran yesterday, saying it was "one of the few remaining facilities" used to manufacture materials for ballistic missiles.

Iranian media reported yesterday that the airstrikes hit the Marvdasht Petrochemical Complex, near Shiraz, hours after the Israeli Air Force bombed Iran's largest petrochemical facility in Asaluyeh.

In a statement, the IDF says that the facility near Shiraz "was used by Iran’s armed forces to produce nitric acid, a substance necessary for manufacturing explosives and additional materials used in ballistic missile development processes."

The IDF says the site was "one of the few remaining complexes for producing essential chemical components for explosives and ballistic missile materials in Iran," following the strikes on the petrochemical facility in Asaluyeh and additional plants struck in southern Iran over the weekend.

"In doing so, the IDF deepened the damage to the regime’s military capabilities, with an emphasis on the production capabilities of weaponry that relied on components from the facility," the military says.

Also yesterday, the IAF struck a facility of Iran's ballistic missile forces in northwestern Iran, from which the military says dozens of missiles were fired at Israel.

"The site was struck while soldiers and commanders of the missile array were operating within it to advance and carry out terror activities against the State of Israel and other countries," the IDF says.

The IDF publishes new footage showing airstrikes on Iranian air defense systems.

According to the military, more than 130 Iranian air defense systems have been destroyed during the war.
