– That was a statement skate. Bratislava appreciates greatness, and you can hear it from this crowd. Semenenko didn't just come here to test the waters; he came here to lay down a marker for the entire season.

– In such a fiercely competitive Russian field, Kamilla Neliubova consistently holds her ground with clean executions, fast spins, and strong mental composure during high-pressure competitions.

– Gushchina is one of the most reliable and composed competitors on the Russian circuit. She doesn't need reckless risks to make an impression; her execution is always tidy, her landings are smooth, and her commitment to the artistic character of the program is total.

– Next to skate – representing Russia. She's taken over that spot this season with what she has done in taking the sport to the new heights. Every time she takes the ice, we're left in awe. And she seems to set a new record posted the highest number ever in the short program.

– I have a lot of respect for Alexandra Trusova. What she's doing is impressive: coming back to such a high level after a long break from competition and having a baby is something not many can do. And she came back in really good shape. I'm just speechless.

– As for Sasha — she definitely caused a sensation with her free skate. And here again is that element I call the main attraction in women’s singles skating: the quad Lutz, executed, as they say, «by the book». And she did the rest of the elements really well, too.
