François Fillon, former French Prime Minister, reveals for the first time what Putin privately told him right before the war, about why diplomacy with the Europeans - Macron in particular - failed.
Putin, on the advice of Fillon, had tried to engage with Macron, but came away with this verdict: "When Emmanuel Macron comes to see me, he tells me what I must do."
In short, in Putin's telling, Macron didn't want to negotiate, but to dictate.
In other words, there was never a genuine effort at diplomacy - at least as far as Putin (and Fillon) see it.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent blames Ukraine for high gas prices:
"Ukraine has decided that they want to blow up Russian energy assets and refined products, so that is creating upward price pressure on a global basis"
Has he forgotten that Trump's CIA literally designed Ukraine's drone campaign to blow up Russian energy assets and refined products?!
Also in 2025 Bessent *himself* put pressure on Russia's oil with the *sanctions* on Russian two largest companies, Rosneft and Lukoil.

What a time to be alive: Germany aims to develop the largest military in Europe, and the Europeans are cheering it on. Germany's political class is in full consensus in its enthusiasm for the war with Russia, with only the "far-right" party in opposition.…

Blackwater founder Erik Prince called the politicians and experts who claim that Russian army has been destroyed, "idiots."
He said that a large amount of NATO weaponry has lost its effectiveness because of the technological revolution in Russia's armed forces. Instead of taking 1.5 hours in 2022, it now responds to attacks in 2 minutes. A huge amount of NATO weapons has lost effectiveness, since Russia has proven strong in electronic warfare. Russian army has adapted in combat and has suddenly become stronger and more dangerous. Furthermore, NATO-developed systems like HIMARS, Javelin, and Escalibur have lost their effectiveness.
"It works for a week or two, and then it breaks down or loses connection. So, first and foremost, don't listen to those idiot politicians who say we have destroyed the Russian army. No, it has become infinitely smarter," Prince stated.

Looks like another major Ukrainian ammuntion depot got hit by Russian strikes tonight, as massive fire and secondary explosions are taking place in the area of Gostomel in Ukraine's Kiev Oblast.
In the last few months, the Russians were able to successfully target at least three significant Ukrainian ammunition storage sites, including two in Kiev Oblast.
