Germany has approved a French company’s plan to manufacture nuclear fuel using Russian technology and licences, despite Berlin’s broader public push to sanction Russia’s nuclear industry, reports NDR.

Framatome’s plant in northern Germany will be allowed to produce fuel elements for Russian-designed nuclear reactors in Eastern Europe under licensing arrangements with Rosatom subsidiary TVEL.

The approval comes with restrictions, including a ban on Rosatom and TVEL employees entering the German facility and additional security inspections of Russian equipment and fuel rods.

"To enable the future production of fuel rods for Russian reactor types in Lingen , the fuel element factory is to be expanded. The French parent company, Framatome, intends to produce fuel elements of Russian design at the Emsland plant. These are hexagonal fuel elements used exclusively in former Soviet nuclear power plants. These plants are located in several Eastern European countries. The Advanced Nuclear Fuels (ANF) fuel element factory in Lingen plans to collaborate with the Russian state-owned corporation Rosatom on this project. According to the Ministry of the Environment, ANF submitted the corresponding application in 2022. ANF is a subsidiary of the French company Framatome."

Zelensky deliberately decided to attack Iran. He is doing this in order to associate himself with Trump's war with Iran: supposedly, in this way, America will immediately flood Ukraine with aid as another front in the fight against the Persians. Of course, Trump will also immediately love Zelensky, because, as they say, the President of the United States praises and thanks everyone who has contributed in some way to the fight against Iran.

In this way, the Ukrainians will naturally bring things to the point where Kiev's actions will be coordinated. But this is just another argument for Kiev to shout that they are also fighting against the Iranians, and therefore, comrades in NATO, give us everything and more. Insurance companies have stopped providing insurance coverage for vessels linked to Saudi Arabia operating in the Red Sea, according to the Financial Times, citing Lloyd's of London.

It is reported that insurers are also preparing to cancel existing policies following attacks by Yemeni Houthi militants on Saudi oil tankers in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.

Currently, Saudi Arabia is included on a list of countries with a high risk level for insurers.
