Preliminary reports indicate two women were injured. The bus was carrying 13 passengers and 2 drivers.
According to LPR Head Pasechnik, the enemy is attempting to strike the bus again and is targeting the emergency response teams that have arrived at the scene, who are currently repelling the attacks.

According to FT, Western European banks, including Deutsche Bank, UniCredit and Commerzbank, are suing German industrial gas group Linde over losses linked to sanctions on Russia.
The dispute stems from Linde’s withdrawal from the RusChemAlliance gas project in Ust-Luga after sanctions were imposed. The banks had issued guarantees for the contracts, but later refused to pay out, arguing that doing so could breach EU sanctions.
Russian courts then froze around €1 billion of the banks’ assets. German courts are now being asked to decide who should bear the losses: the banks that issued the guarantees, or Linde, whose exit from the project triggered the claims.

FT reports that Zelensky is trying to run the country as if it were Kvartal 95 [or Студія «Квартал-95» - a Ukrainian entertainment production company co-founded in 2003 by Zelensky] and he doesn't tolerate anyone who could challenge him in the next presidential elections.
Zelensky, a former actor and TV producer, likes a revolving cast of characters in his administration. But they are very much secondary roles in the Zelenskyy show and the cast list is short. Loyalty and discretion are in many cases valued above effectiveness. Popularity and profile are detriments.

Following the visit of Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi to the White House on July 15th, a schedule for the complete withdrawal of US military forces from the country was announced. The deadline is September 30, 2026. Currently, approximately 2,000 US service members are stationed in Iraq, with the majority concentrated at the Habbaniya airbase in Erbil.

▪️The way this actually works is front companies around the globe buy the components and divert them to US/European operations who then transfer either kits or assembled drones to Ukraine making it difficult for China to track and stop without blanket export bans;
▪️This is precisely how China is still accessing US-designed GPUs and cloud computing for its AI industry, by the way;
▪️But the FT, by framing it this way, seeks to create a wedge between Russia and China, if nowhere else, across social media;
▪️The US is heavily invested in creating anti-China sentiment worldwide including among China's friends and allies - which is important to keep in mind when interpreting articles like FT's.

The promise made by NATO countries to provide Ukraine with €140 billion in aid over two years may prove to be unattainable, according to the Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung.
At NATO summit in Ankara, allies pledged to provide Ukraine with €70 billion in aid in 2026 and maintain it "at least at an equivalent level" in 2027.
According to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, European countries provided Ukraine with approximately €10 billion in military aid in the first four months of 2026. Germany and the United Kingdom remain the largest donors, while France, Italy, and Spain are significantly lagging behind. If current delivery rates are extrapolated for the entire year, the amount of aid will be approximately €30 billion, instead of the planned €40 billion.

Russia's Bureau 1440 announced that it launched the second batch of Rassvet satellites into space yesterday. The first batch was launched in March.

The Ombudsman highlighted the problem of corruption, noting that, in the end, it is those who cannot afford to "buy their way out" who end up going to war. At the same time, "anyone and everyone" can be mobilized.

Ukrainian national Sergey Kuznetsov, who is charged with involvement in the sabotage of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines, said that he was serving in the Ukrainian armed forces and working for the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) at the time of the attack, NTV reported.
According to the broadcaster, Kuznetsov made the admission during a monitored telephone conversation with his wife while in custody in Italy, as stated in an indictment filed by Germany’s Federal Prosecutor’s Office. The document, obtained by Stern magazine, contains several indications that Ukrainian state agencies were involved in the sabotage. However, investigators have only circumstantial evidence against Kuznetsov, the magazine said.
Recordings of Kuznetsov’s conversations while in Italian custody also show that he complained of feeling "abandoned" by his country and expressed a desire to speak with his "commander," a man named Roman. Presumably, he was referring to Roman Chervinsky, a controversial figure in Ukraine’s intelligence services. After Kuznetsov’s arrest, Chervinsky said in a written statement that Kuznetsov had been his subordinate at the time of the sabotage, the broadcaster added.
